Now I've done it!!!!!!

After doing the tire Brand Poll, I think it's time to do one on Motor Oil!!

Now you might be asking why right?! Well besides the fact that many seem to keep asking, I figure it would be fun to be the one triggering others on the discussion!!

So of the Brands listed, which one are you going with?

You didn't list my choice - Kirkland Full Synthetic - it is good enough for our retired Ford Engineer, so it is good enough for me - and it is significantly cheaper than anything else.

Isn't that the Costco stuff that is made by one of said brands above?

It's made by Warren oil - they do a lot of private brand stuff I guess but they've been rated highly.

I was just looking and it looks like they simply do some of the store brands including Walmart, Costco, Amazon and I believe for AutoZone as well. I'll make an adjustment

Currently ford does my maint because I got a maintenance plan so.. oem stuff for now

Is royal purple still good? That and mobil 1
Are all I got when it came to full syn oil..switched to Mob1 when I couldn’t get royal purple on occasion, back then I was convinced they’re both high end brands (I do understand that high mid and low are all probably by small margins for the most part.)
I also put RP in my wife’s little car she likes that it’s actually purple oil ?.

Can't wait to hear your rhetoric on Amsoil.
If you truly want to know, just look at the price alone.

Mind you that the Motul I have selected normally goes for $49.99 and is just over 5 quarts vs Amsoil being only 4 quarts. If you are wondering, many individuals seem to think it is ok to pay that much for oil that will supposedly last 40,000 miles from the so called black stone oil tests(or wherever they get the tests done) when the vehicle manufacturers don't call for more than 10,000 miles at best. Even my own vehicle recommends 5,000 miles.

You'd better do more window shopping. Not to mention the Signature is only needed by about 2% of the population. Their regular drain interval oil is $29 a gallon.
