Old post, but thanks. GOOD information all in one place.
I know this is an old post, but the information in a few short paragraph was a great post. Thank you. I had everything handy and laid out before I even touched my truck.
For me, I got the LEER HF350... It was one of the ones that will not let you stick a coat hanger in it to open. Got it in 2020 and it still looks new. IT's a hard shell 3 fold and seems secure. I have been lucky as it's garage kept and living in the desert we don't see tons of rain. Never...
Wow. I had a red Dakota too. The transmission cracked over the top from the ears that mated to the engine. I was on the highway and it made things a little interesting. Never had another MOPAR anything. Never will again. That gussied up Chinese built pretend truck can stay in South...
You might be surprised on a long haul. I go up to the Oregon coast 2-3 times a year to check on family and I can see mid 24 to 25 sometimes. I only use Premium. I drive smooth and follow the speed limits. Stay outta S and I don't put my foot down on the gas hard. My Tex takes good care of me.
Good to know about Lowe's. I didn't know it was assembled. My Traeger was off of Amazon a few years ago, That was a big box and 2 hours of my life I won't get back. I put the side swivel boxes in the bed with my hard Leer tonneau. So far it's been perfect. Few times I needed the bed, I...
O'Rielly's is very similar. I just check the window by the door, they put up a warning when they are full. I use one of the bigger oil/fluid plastic cans and only go when I am close to needing space for the next time. I leave it in the truck until I talk with the staff and they always empty...
zFitz stick. Look for MBS (Mike Builds Stuff). Aftermarket (technically) Probably better than if it were stamped FoMoCo. Looks like it was supposed to be there. Its here on this website. I can't get to it right now. I have seen it done both ways. Easiest for the shade tree mechanic is...
Sounds small compared to my problems. Both towns near me have never heard of Motorcraft Mercon ULV. One wanted $25 a bottle and $30 shipping.... Thank goodness for Rockauto. Joking. Good work on a greatly needed product. Thank you.
Similar. It was too hot when I got mine and then got too cold. Today was perfect and I rewatched Quandog's video and it really helped. Was done in about 45 minutes with it and I was taking my time and drinking coffee. Fits perfectly. Thanks to the video and the work Mike did.
No on the just lifting them off. There is a place to place to lock them with a small padlock. You also have a plastic piece that sits inside the hinge that pins it to the hinge. It basically slows them down. I have a hard tonneau so they are not out in the open.
Sorry I missed Soupie's post...
Got mine today. Thanks Sir for the work you did to make it happen. Sad FORD couldn't do it. Again, I would say It's a great deal vs a new tranny (Not Budlight) Thank you sir for doing this.
Just ordered after watching quangdon's video and after viewing the website Mike has. It was easy and am thinking FRI or SAT I will see it for real. Thanks Mike for a great product and peace of mind.
Same boat as you. 0% interest. 18K I still love what I got. Paid off in May. Cost has gone up for little changes and the interest sux. I will drive it until the wheels fall off. Zero problems to date. (fingers crossed)
