Ahhhhh ?….
Don’t want to scare you, but….
This is sounding similar to what was happening before ford had to replace the modules for the multimedia stuff, head unit too.
The service manager I deal with is a good guy so he told me they were just going to rip it all out and replace it, haven’t had any issues since…
Did have a few trips prior to it all blacking out, but like all intermittent issues…when you take it to get checked out..
The little suckers hide themselves till they can safely ruin your day again ?
I'm still hopeful that once I'm able to update it it'll go back to normal. Probably wishful thinking but there were a few with a similar problem and once they did the update it went away. ?

All those dump runs and only 5841 miles!!!!!!!
LOL, it's a 3.2 mile round trip, so that mileage could represent over 1,800 dump runs!

Ah, one can only dream of such prosperity! =D

Ugh, all the whining; "my phone needs a restart, I can't see my tire pressure, it won't start my car".

Sheesh! Too many 303 graphene sniffers and damper babies. =p

Just put on your big boy pants and get handy - ingenuity is what made America great.

To be honest I mostly just use my key fob, the app is nice and all but not a huge usage for me.

I'm still getting used to all the bells and whistles on the inside! Lmao ? always had older vehicles and they definitely had no app.

Other than not being able to add a DYI service mine is working fine on my iPhone. (I had to log in to Ford online to add the service)

Well CRAP! today's update broke my apple watch widget. it won't connect, worked great this morning!! Can't Ford do anything right!
Followup, OK spoke to soon, have to re-install on watch. Now I have 3 screens on watch, Range, lock/unlock/start/status, location address/horn/lights, so it's all good. I did notice Ford could not help making their emblem twice the size on the watch face, want anyone around you to notice it I guess.

After 2 hours on the phone with Fords In Vehicle Technology dept. I finally have everything working again! :whew: First they walked me through doing the Sync update to version 3.4.23188 then getting the modem to respond which they said hasn't reported since June 3rd. They ended up having to reactive the modem then deactivate my account and reactivate it which took care of all the issues.

My FordPass app is back to working along with my main screen with the new Sync version. Anyone still having problems here's the number to call and they'll be able to get you up and running again. Their hours are 8:00am-11:00pm EST

The newest Sync version is 3.4.23188 and the one with all the glitches is 3.4.22251. If you have 3.4.22251 it will not let you update over wifi and the longer you have it the more glitches there are. It only took about 10 minutes to update from the USB drive.

ok, just an updated software of the existing Sync, not new Sync. I like new software... I beta almost everything I run, so... I was excited.

I will have to check my version and see about updating via usb. I do get random times when CarPlay won't connect.

WOW!, Dave, you must not have done an update in a long time. I updated to 3.4.23188 months ago, not due to any issues but as an old IT guy I always update to the latest stable version, stable being the operative word.

I usually try to and I was trying to update it (over wifi) for the past 4-5 months, maybe longer. I never had a problem doing it this way in the past and hadn't known there was a glitch in the previous software keeping it from updating over wifi. Also we were in the process of selling the house back in AZ (started in early March) so I didn't have time to really look into it until we got settled in here. I'm just glad it's back to normal along with the FordPass app. I don't use the app all that often but there are times I like to remote start it from inside a restaurant or double check that I locked it.

I never update via wi-fi, always use a USB drive loaded from CanLabs, faster and not prone to wi-fi slow downs or connectivity issues.

This (and my '19 Ranger) were the first vehicles that had this many options and tech that needed updates. So on my '19 I just set it to auto update and it would do it while in the garage and always worked fine.

I don't drive it everyday so it didn't matter to me how long it takes and I never noticed because it was just updating while parked in the garage. I think this was the first update they've had since getting my '23 and I just assumed (dumb on my part ) everything would go smoothly. It was really easy to use the USB drive and only took maybe 10 minutes with the agent walking me through it. What took the most time was them diagnosing the issue and I had to be transferred to 3 different agents. But they were all great and it was worth the time getting it fixed.

Well, a new Fordpass update came out for iOS today. They thought they were fixing the fuel gauge issue for us, but what they did was remove Range and we now have Fuel %.

Earth to Ford…. Anyone home???
