Anyone say, I should have purchased a different truck?

Now that it is leveled on on 33's, my Ranger has far exceeded my expectations, except for fuel economy.
Out of sheer curiosity Eric, have you ever spotted a white Tremor in your area or a Sabre Lariat in the past, and thought to yourself, “Hmmmm, I wonder if that‘s Dave?”

Note: I’m not looking for him - I know where he is and he’s fine. ?

Mine has been solid. Any complaints I have are pretty minor and not really enough for me to jump ship to a different vehicle.

The battery being my biggest gripe at this point (seems to have more to do with the frequency I drive the truck, but still an irritant). When I do replace it, I think I'm going to try to size up to the Lariat size.

Go get in a maverick and you will see shit interior. I think the Ranger has a nice interior that is quite durable. It seems to me a truck owner would want durability over plush.
Yeah I saw that recyclable looking interior first hand lol.

I actually do like the rangers interior(other than needing t rex arms for the window buttons) it was one of the big things that attracted me to the truck.

Is there a difference in size between the Lariat & other trims? I thought it was just the amenities.

What’s your MPG now? I’m lifted with 285s and average about 18.5-19.0. That’s mostly highway as my commute to work to and from is about 55-60 miles a day

Yes, lol. I waited nearly 9 months for mine, so I let that factor cloud my judgment.

financially screwed at the moment otherwise I would have dumped this pos for something of better build standards.

I know some are way to deep on fords ****, but I can't but protest how the 5G ranger is the poorest of the quality in fords line up outside of that ecosport thing but that's excusable given how cheap it is.

it has it's good points, too though. I can actually park the damn thing in most areas.
That is how they got 2nd place in CR midsize truck by way of OWNERS reports? 6 points higher than the 3rd place taco, and the jeep was nearly off the charts.(low) NOT one issue with mine after 3.5 years.

Any vehicle is going to have issues. I have a love/hate relationship with my danger ranger. At the end of the day, yeah I wish I had the money to jump to a 5.0 F150 at the time but I also broke the 100k mark with minimal major issues.
Everyone has the grass is greener and I am sure some on here 100% had a lemon, but as someone else pointed out on here regarding a mustang 2, there are definitely worse cars out there.

I've got a 2019 XL 41 000 miles and have had zero issues. It's only bug is that the clock changes its time by an hour about once a month and I have to reset it. It had the transmission jerking/hesitation, but I solved that.
My only general gripe is the price I paid, but I was spoiled and had no car payment at all for about 8-9 years prior to buying the '19. Ran my '07 Ranger up to 2021, and that was no easy task considering I live in the salt belt.

4 years and almost 8 months now, over 43k on the clock. I ordered my truck to get exactly what I wanted and in hindsight, I'd do it all the same way again. The only change I would make would be to order the Tremor trim (which wasn't available when I ordered).

No issues and I love the truck - it is extremely comfortable for road trips and it has done EVERYTHING I've asked of it, and more - even when I pushed its limits, it didn't complain and performed well. Couldn't be happier with it. Is it perfect? No - no vehicle is - but this is pretty close for me.

With all the issues that come up I’m thinking I made a bad choice.
Love mine. 50k miles, third set of tires.
It does everything my king ranch f-150 did, and drives nicer.
All rides have their flaws. I corrected the things that needed correction, and I’ll keep doing the same.
if you treat it like a pickup, not a UTV or Dragtser, it’ll probably be fine.

My wife, but only because she says it's too small inside. She agreed to marry me though so her decisions and opinions are a bit questionable.
I almost got a Maverick, and my wife told me to get a real truck or not one at all. Since before the maverick I was always eyeing the Ranger, that was acceptable ???

Barry really came in and dropped a bomb and left without further comment. ? I'm still curious Barry if you're talking about your own issues or the issues you read about on the forum?

I heard a guy say once that with a Ford - you either get a great one or one with issues. There's not much between. That could be true about all companies, but it certainly seems true anecdotally on these boards.

Love mine, zero regrets. Think it's fantastic quality for the value.
