Good morning. Considering buying a 2020 Ranger. Rapid Red, XLT, Offroad package, Towing package, 301A, approximately $34,000. Need vehicle to tow tear drop, haul kayaks and bikes. Should I pull the trigger or look for an F150?

The Ranger is perfect for the task you describe, but only you can decide which truck you want.
I would sorely regret buying a fullsized truck when I could get a Ranger, but you might not feel the same.
Think twice, buy once!

I'll just say from experience that the Ranger is the perfect vehicle for hauling a teardrop, kayaks, and bikes. We've been on multiple 10-day camping trips with no worry for lack of space, weight capacity, power, etc. It's the perfect adventure vehicle for us.

Truck details in signature below.

We haul a KZ Mini-Escape camper, 2 mountain bikes and 2 kayaks with no problem.

Don't have a pic with it all loaded together, but it pulls it with ease.

Thanks for the input and great pics! Seems like the Ranger is a good choice plus my wife isn't keen on a full size truck. I'm not crazy about Rapid Red but the price is about right.

Ranger is THE choice for what you mentioned.
Do the red! Everyones vehicle is a shade of black/grey/white. Get some color out there.

Don't get blue though. :puke: .......

Agreed. Get a color. There's too much grayscale vehicles out there. Be different. Don't be boring.

I won't second the anti-blue statement though. haha

  1. grey was what my F150 was. but that was suited to my company logo.
I wanted a change and considered basic white as most work trucks are white. you can decal and wrap them into whatever you want.
    then I considered blue.

once i saw pics of HPR....I was sold. the extra money was worth it
Hot Pepper Red is beautiful. Seeing it out & about ALMOST makes me regret not picking that color. ALMOST. :inlove:

Unless you're hauling materials on a regular basis like a landscaper or contractor, I can't see anyone being unhappy with a Ranger. Much more maneuverable than a fullsize and a little more efficient. Stock you can easily get 24mpg. Can always get a trailer to haul materials if needed. $34 is a great deal on a truck with those options.
