  1. Shimmy - Help, what could be wrong?

If the rotating assemblies are good, check rear driveline. angles might be too steep- correct with a one-piece driveline.
  2. Too much load? Let me know!

About the same weight as I pull- no problem. Expect to see single-digit mpg. great power, lousy mileage.
  3. Best A/T Tires?

I’m a fan of the Falken WildPeaks.
  4. Looking to do a lift...

Once you start, it never stops… I did the Ford/Fox 2.0 leveling kit, Icon rear spring packs, stock 17ā€ wheels with Falken 275/70- 17 tires. also replaced rear driveline with a one-piece. Performance-wise, I installed the Ford performance tune, cold air intake and bigmouth air portal to air...
  5. Autospring Add-a-Leaf on Tremor

I put the Icon rear leafs on mine, after a Fox 2.0 leveling kit. They fit perfectly. what you want to keep in mind is when you lift the rear, you get feedback from the driveline. The next thing to do after monkeying with the rear suspension is to get a 1-piece rear driveline.
  6. Nevada Amp Reasearch Power Steps $300

    Where in Nevada are you?
  7. I finally upgraded what are your thoughts

I traded a ā€˜13 King Ranch f-150 for a 2020 Ranger XLT sport. it tows better than the 150 did, it’s comfortable and nimble. Fox 2.0 leveling kit Icon rear leaf springs Ford performance tune Falken wild peak 275-70/17. AFE cold air intake AFE wide mouth 60,000 miles, standard maintenance.
  8. Low Speed Shudder - 2022 Ford Ranger XLT Tremor

Could be that the carrier bearing needs to be shimmed. Maybe too steep an angle where the rear drivelines meet.
  9. Does my used truck have a performance tune? Forscan check?

Why’s that? I have the Ford Performance Tune, and auto start/stop is no different, nor is the shifting. Drive still skips 2nd & 4 th gear-
  10. Help!, What oil?

I’ve used Costco’s Kirkland brand 5/30 full synthetic for 55k miles. That, and K&N oil filters. If the previous owner used regular oil, stay with that. The seals and gaskets will last longer. If they used Synthetic, you should too. congratulations on your purchase- great little truck!
  11. Anyone NOT have problems with the Ranger?

I have 56,000 miles on my 2020 Ranger. No problems. I occasionally tow about 5k, no issues other than poor mileage. It’s got the Ford performance tune, Ford/Fox 2.0 leveling kit, AFE intake. Treat it like a midsize truck, and it’ll be fine. treat it like a race car or a big-boy truck, expect...
  12. Man, this truck really kicks butt.

That’s phenomenal mileage. On a 10% grade to boot! mine drops in to single digits when I’m pulling my Side x Side on the steep hills here in Northern Nevada. There’s no lack of power, especially since installing the Ford Performance tune, but the mileage sucks.
  13. Long term reliability of the 2.3

    It’s on par with AmsOil.
  14. Long term reliability of the 2.3

If you treat it like a small displacement 4 cyl, and do routine maintenance, it will be fine. The fuel in the oil is due to direct injection. 4500-5000 mile intervals for oil changes is a good start. Don’t go by the ā€œoil lifeā€ info- you’ll ruin your engine. I have 53k on mine, and no problems...
  15. Falken Wild Peak A/t3W's

Great choice. I put 275-70 on my ā€˜20 Ranger. Love them!
  16. Boost tow capacity (a little?)

Yep, towing in mountains (northern Nevada) single-digit mileage is a thing. Absolutely no lack of power- but it comes at a cost. Still- I love my Ranger.
  17. Boost tow capacity (a little?)

It’s not always about if you can pull it, but can you stop it? our little rigs tow quite a lot for their size. If you need to pull heavier, you really should upsize. not a good idea. Buy a larger truck. These are great rigs for daily driving and occasional towing. not sure about other’s...
  18. Nevada Intercooler Hot side pipe (upgrade)

    Where are you located?
  19. Issues upon issues

Go to the dealership you purchased it from, and ask to speak to the G.M. Explain the issue, and request the telephone number of the Ford Appeals Board. Don’t leave until you have the number. Then, Call the Board. They’ll shake the tree.
  20. Anyone say, I should have purchased a different truck?

Love mine. 50k miles, third set of tires. It does everything my king ranch f-150 did, and drives nicer. All rides have their flaws. I corrected the things that needed correction, and I’ll keep doing the same. if you treat it like a pickup, not a UTV or Dragtser, it’ll probably be fine.
