I put on BFG TRAIL TERRAIN T/A 265/65R17 last year this time.
No complaints as of yet other than Costco did a poor job balancing. I went to another shop to do it right after they gave me the spiel that their tire technicians are professionals and know how to balance tires. three were out, one was out a lot according to the shop that did it right the second time. For shitsngiggles i went back to costco with the paperwork from the second balance. Guy just gave me attitude, no apology or nothing.
They are reasonably quiet on the highway and give me good enough traction off road and in the snow that I require, including our local boat ramps. but they arent crazy slippery to begin with.
I would buy them again, they are better than the Hankooks

I am a Michelin fan, and went with the LTX after the stock garbage rubber wore out at 25k. I really like the LTX, but I don't offroad and don't need all season in sunny (lately rainy) Fla.

Well, I've got 40k on the OEM Hankooks, but it's time for new tires. Going with stock size 265-60R18. I had To AT3 on my land rover and lived them. Not sure I really need triple peak rated tires on the ranger.

What have other folks put on and how happy are you with them?
I traded up from the stock Hankooks into stock-sized Falken Wildpeaks AT3 on my 2019 Lariat at 10,000 miles. To be fair, the Hankooks are a perfectly adequate stock tire, no problems with them or anything, but I love the Wildpeaks! Everybody has to make his own decisions about how much tire you want, but I would rather run "triple-peak rated" because you never know...

you may want to check with the Discount Tire guys here in the vendor forum, if you have one near you. I contacted them, they arranged everything, and the local shop contacted me to arrange the install. And I got a good price.
Thank you for the recommendation, and thank you for your patronage! We appreciate the opportunity to earn your business.

I swapped my hankooks with factory 18's for 265/70r17 bfg ko2's and a used set of the black 17's( HOL.10230-BBB-GLOSS-A-OW). I wanted to wait for the ko3's but I needed tires. Overall its a decent improvement in comfort and I can air down more while offroading now.

I went with the Cooper Rugged Treks. Overkill for daily driving but nice when your in sketchy situations in the swamp away from civilization. They do well in rain and on slick boat ramps also. The Cooper AT3’s would probably have worked but I had a couple times where the Stock Dynapros barely made it out. Honestly I don’t really have anything bad to say about the Stock Dynapros. It’s hard for a company to put a one size fits all tire for a truck model. I don’t drive in snow or ice as a disclaimer lol.

You guys were great to work with. I pretty always go to Discount Tire, and have for years, but this was very easy.

I also appreciated your advice on a few technical things too

Bridgestone Dueler 70/30 will drive over just about anything and last forever and three days.

I upsized to 265/70-17 Cooper AT3's. Like them but now that they're halfway worn down they're a little sketchy in the rain.
Next time I'll go back to Firestone Destination AT2's that I had on my old Sport Trac or Mastercraft Courser Trail's, tread is similar to Falken Wildpeaks, Mastercraft is the house brand at my bud's tire shop and they're not real pricey.

I'm putting Falken Wildpeaks on next spring. They have good rain performance and are three snow peak rated. I use dedicated winter tires, but occasionally I'm caught in an early or late season snow without my winter tires mounted.

I want A/T tires as I drive on forest logging roads often for recreation.

If you just need mild A/T tires, look at the BFG Trail-Terrain. I thought about these. They would do forest roads okay for the most part, but they don't have as good of a rain braking performance as the Fallens.
You will love the Wildpeaks, I went with them instead of the Nitto Ridge Grapplers because of they are much better on wet pavement.

I think this may be my next tire. Are you happy with them? I rarely go off road and winters here in central Va. are typically pretty mild.

I had a set of the Mastercraft mud terrains on my Dodge ram that was my hunting, firewood take thru anything and not care truck. They were really good tires. Never once had a flat. I was really impressed with them. Did great pulling people out of ditches in the snow when I lived in NC. Not the quietest tire but tougher than Tarzan’s feet.
