After reading a few of these threads, I went ahead and changed my plugs today at 50k miles.
There was some rust on them, and they fouled pretty good.
#4 was super tight. It took some effort to break it free. I had plenty of room - it was just cranked down.
I also, at first, couldn't get...
I went through all this. My wife was driving the process as well.
Due to her involvement, we bought an Airstream Interstate a year ago. Bought it 4 years old for a fraction of the price of new. When I found one that is 4WD, I relented. I doubt I will need 4WD, but hey, you know.
A year...
best upgrade probably was the Livernois tune I got. I also really like the EIbach leveling kit, and the Cooper tires I got to go on afterwards.
I also installed a winch, some swing boxes in the bed, and some small lighting things.
48k miles. I finally bought an engine cover, and will change the plugs this weekend. Hope to not see any issues.
Also going to change the trans fluid next week, along with oil change. After all that, going to have to go get dirty.
The winch plate from HF fit just fine. However, you may have to either shim up the bottom of the winch, or cut a hole int he plastic piece up front.
The winch that I got was the 13,500 lb winch. It has a remote control as well. I think something a bit smaller, maybe even 10k would've fit a...
I should've added: it doesn't look like it in the pic, but the rope will come up and over the plastic piece. If I use the winch, that plastic will be trashed, and I'll have to cut it at that point.
I got a Rugcell from Amazon after looking at reviews of it. It was on sale when I got it also, which helped.
For the bracket, I used a winch tray from Harbor Freight.
Attached a couple of pics - one in progress, one when it's done. I will have to cut the plastic piece in front of the winch...
I have the Eibach level kit. I have these tires: LT265/70R-18 LR-E Discoverer AT3 XLT .
Have no issues at all. I have the truck tires, because I thought I would be buying a camping trailer to tow. However, around my way, that notion was a non starter. I think the overall problem is that...
a long ago, a friend's dad owned a chevy dealer, and he knew I was looking for a car. He kept offering me great deals on this or that, but I really wanted a BMW.
I finally worked up the courage to tell him I'd be buying the BMW, and his response was "that's why they make both chocolate and...
Looks like a nice gun. I have 3 mossbergs. 1st one is a cheap pump that is hunting capable, but mostly an under the bed gun. Next is a 30 year old 12 semi-auto, and tge last is a 3 inch shell 12 ga camo turkey gun.
I think I could have all 3 available and still be outgunned against your slick...
Anyone ever been to the Talladega Marksmanship Park? I went there a few weeks ago - what a blast. The battery on the AR red dot died, so I was shooting with backup flip up MBUS sights. I could get out to 300 yards, but couldn't put 3 in a row in the black at 300 to advance to 600.
I have a...
Sunset in Tampa
My daughter and I decided to carve scary jack o lanterns. Mine is on the left, hers on the right. She said it was the scariest thing she could imagine.
Sunrise from the front porch.
Here we go. I mistakenly won 2 auctions, so I will likely sell 1 of them. Not sure which yet.
The top one in the pic is from 1856, and the bottom one 1871. These have an engraved cylinder scene of a stagecoach hold up, which h I find sorta odd. The older one still has nice engraving. The...
TBH, the replicas seem to go for something like 200-250 on auctions, which seems a lot to me. The Remington 1858 replica I got from a website called Gallery of Guns. It included powder horn, cleaning tools, nipple wrench, bore cleaner, butter for the cylinders after you load them, and some...
