Hey all. I have the duelers 255/65/17 and the recommended tire pressure is 30psi. I was switching those out for the new Hankook at2’s 265/6517 112t SL. I know the Lt version on the FX4’s is recommended 38 psi but I havent seen any information on that size in the SL version. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks.

Hi Willis,

What does the Tire Mfg recommend? I am guessing the tire construction between SL and LT is different and without testing, Ford would not likely give you an official recommendation... What I would do is start at 30psi (this pressure is well above rim roll off for most tires) and use your calibrated Assometer. If the truck seems "wallowy"...bump up the pressures about 3psi and redrive. Then you can bump further 3psi and see if ride harshness enters the picture... this should give you an idea of a setting between 30psi and 38psi. JMO...

Per the load inflation tables, your standard load (SL) 265/65R-17 112T Hankook DynaPro AT RF11 tires can be run "cold" as low as 28 PSI and still maintain the load carrying capacity that the O.E. tires carry at placard pressure (30 PSI).

In other words, 28 PSI is the minimum cold pressure for your application but to keep it simple, try sticking with 30 and adjust to your liking from there.

Thank you for researching this....
