What do you plan to do with all those holes? Gonna look like crap unless you fill them in.
Nobody's going to see them but me, and Id rather have the holes than the rust. Keep in mind too, those plastic rails fade, get scratched and dented too, and will look worse than the line-X'ed holes.
And now that I think about it, those holes will make great rope & bungy cord anchor points!
It's a no brainer to me.

Thanks Duke. The cargo trains run on the north side when you're heading down towards Yuma. It's a pretty boring stretch with no good sights to look at. I guess the graffiti on them is nice to look at. lol

I love the irony of how you have your Cruise Control set at 58 MPH. The story in my head is that it’s set 2 MPH below 60 so you don’t get a ticket. ?

Bit of a project today on ranger. I did the original service on this truck before I bought it and I didn't notice the mode door making noise until a few days after I had bought it, everything worked fine but when I shut the truck off I could hear a buzzing noise. Traced it down to the mode door binding plus it was setting a B1086:07 code which is for Air Distribution Damper Motor component fault, which is a bit misleading as the motor works fine but because something was binding it could not move freely.

So while I still had my 60 day warranty I pulled the dash and replaced the whole upper air box assembly. Wasn't a horrible job took right at 4 hours, I was able to get the air box out and back in without evacuating the AC or removing the heater core which saved a bunch of time. Everything back together working great and I can tell a difference when I select full floor mode.
I'm impressed! What took you 4 hours would have taken me 4 months ?

I'm impressed! What took you 4 hours would have taken me 4 months ?
F150 I can have the whole evap case out and back in and running in 2 hours but I have done hundreds of them. This was my first ranger and really most of the shop hasn't don't many of them. Rangers don't see much times in the shop, one of few things Ford got right

Well today I cleaned out the mess a squirrel left.

Yesterday I saw a young squirrel running around the front yard. Today my wife saw him go under the Ranger and disappear. She went over and knocked on it but didn't see him come out. I decided to check around for damage. No signs under the hood so I took it for a short drive to possibly eliminate him if he was in there. Ran fine and no squirrel. Crawled around underneath and didn't see any signs of him. Guessing he was so small and quick that my wife never saw him come out from under the pickup. Then I thought about the cabin filter. The little bastard was in and out of there a few times I would guess. Luckily, he didn't fully chew through the filter. Spent a couple hours cleaning the leaves and debris out of the fan using a short piece of garden hose attached to the shop vac. Then spent another hour taking off the cowl cover and putting a piece of old screening over the holes into the cabin. I'll be doing a more permanent fix this weekend along with replacing the cabin filter.

Also hung some Irish Spring under the hood as it has worked in my boat and old VW, but I don't run them with it in there. My wife is taking the Ranger to work in the morning which is only 10 minutes away, so I'll see if it's melted at all tomorrow night.

Yep. .177 caliber. I can probably get away with an air rifle out my upstairs back window without the neighbors knowing. Just got to get him to hold still long enough for a shot.

well, technically yesterday; while leaving camp in the middle of a snow storm (one of those preceded by 1/2 inch of ice that can turn a driveway into soap), I had to engage "beast mode" ("sand" on terrain management), I managed to pick up a shard of brick on one my rear tires right between the treads. Long story short, it left a ragged hole about an inch long that junked my tire (Cooper Disco AT3 4s with 10k miles on it). Ended up having to cough up for a new tire and rotated my brand new spare (of the same brand/size) into the rear. So now my fronts have 10k miles of wear (rotated twice) and my rears are brand new. Running 34 PSI up front and 32 in rear

They do have an engine oil pressure sensor and it can be displayed in Forscan.
I contacted Scan Guage about that and was told we have no pressure sensor, only a switch for high on low pressure that reports to the ecu so it's not possible to add a option to read the pressure on Rangers.

Somebody on here put a adapter between his oil filter and the block to give him oil pressure for his Scan guage.

That is incorrect, the shop manual shows a pressure sensor. The PCM actually regulates the engine oil pressure using the oil pressure sensor as feedback. I have seen the actual oil pressure readout in PSI using Forscan.

Some additional info that I found on the subject.
Here is an excerpt from the shop manual:

"Engine Oil Pressure Sensor
The engine oil pressure sensor is hardwired to the PCM through voltage reference (VREF), signal and return circuits. The PCM provides the sensor voltage supply on the VREF circuit and monitors the change in voltage through the signal and return circuits as the engine oil pressure changes."

This indicates the way the PCM measures the oil pressure.
