That is almost unbelieveable. Are they replacing the head? Guess never seize is needed. Could that be caused because the plug is steel and the head is aluminum, galvanic corrosion?
Anyone install one? Did you do it the so called easy way by jut lifting the console plate? Quite tight under there. Did you have any trouble getting the wire disconnected and the lead from the eliminator plugged into the switch?
Thanks
Back in thr '90's someone made a clear one that you could have painted on the backside to match your truck. Does anybody know of a clear one you can have on the backside??
Thsnks
They sent new motor which when the weather gets better I will install. Mine started acting yours then started making terrible noise. They do an upgraded one with two motors, perhaps the these could be retrofitted.
I contacted Amp-Research and they had me submit a warranty claim with proof of purchase and and a video of the step. I did that on Tuesday and am waiting for a response. The person I spoke to said it sounded the motor was stripped. My thinking is it is either the gear on the motor or the gear...
On your original install what did you do different than the instructions? Mine were working perfectly for six months, were yours working prior to your problem? I am quite certain my son and I followed the instructions.
Having a problem mine. They are deploying fine but the driver side does not retract completely. If you evdr so lightly assist with theffh toe of your shoe it retracts fully. Passenger side did it once but that side is not used often.
Anyone have this problem?
Thanks.
