Not trying to be that guy, but....

If you had put 303 graphene on the truck this wouldn't have happened...

Tailgate is aluminum, right?

Aluminum doesn't play well with PDR.

No memory like steel. It's possible, but I'd guess no dice.
You're right I forgot it was aluminum. I guess with all this atrophy I can't tell the difference between an aluminum & steel tailgate now. :frown:

Well... I absolutely mangled this trying to get it to allow more downward angle... There is a local guy through OB who said he would help me fab some better cups out of metal and make them work (and look) a lot better. I will post up when I get those completed. You don't really notice it unless you look, so it will do for now, but I have V2 coming and its going to be a whole lot nicer.
where is this? hard to tell

I'm still gonna look around for a PDR guy when I get back. I'm hoping it's not so bad I can't get it fixed reasonably well by somebody.

Got my Scan Gauge lll installed. Still programing it, but simple procedure.
As opposed to the Scan Gauge ll, it already has the "X Gauges" installed, so no programming necessary.
Have coolant and trans temp installed as of now.

it's all in how good the guy is some heat and the some light tapping it should pull out easily it doesn't require having memory to shape it.

swapped the basic eibach for some eibach pro 2.0 and some icon control arms along with cutting the buckets a bit for a bit more droop. also test fitted some 16x8 wheels I picked up dirt cheap.

Ah man, that’s a tough break Chris - I’m so sorry for your loss. Dented tailgates can wait. Travel safely.

Just a quick wash, black is a pain in the a$$.

I hear ya Matt! Sure, the wash is quick, but the drying, and detail spray, and touch up wipes, and second touch up wipes are not so quick.

But just look at that beauty in all its Shadow Black SuperCab glory!

Believe it or not...backed into an overhanging tree branch (missed the tree trunk AND a pole) while mall-crawling with Jeanie.
Dammit.
Sorry to hear that...I was about to blame not having a TGD and the free falling gate landed on a poor kid's head....

Sure, but heat and or light tapping usually negates the "paintless" part in my experience.
I’ve got the AFN bumper, and these are the pockets for the fog lights.
That's the one. Beyond being one of the better looking aftermarket bumpers I couldn't remember.

might want to check out some YouTube videos there are some insanely skilled dudes. it also depends on what they use to tap. As Chip fooze said in the past when his father taught him the trade stuck a freshly painted panel and told him fix this without needing paint and then you'll be good. just because you heat and planish doesn't mean you'll require paints.
