New Ranger Muffler Spatter Warranty Issue

I wouldn't let flash like that bug me on the stock exhaust. Now if it was all over the hood and fenders that's another story.

In 1988 I took my first ever brand new car back in for a few small items that were admittedly cosmetic and the guy asked me if I "picked the flyshit out of the pepper" before I put it on my food. I still use that saying to this day when necessary LMAO I never went back there for service

Nothing in that article says in black and white teslas aren't owned.

Teslas do have specific requirements for repair and replacement of parts. And if you don't follow their rules, you can't use their zippy chargers...

Another complaint was that they are expensive to repair, and they only replace parts they don't repair them... EV's aren't VCR's where you run a head cleaning tape through it to fix the lines on the screen. It is probably less expensive in the long run for all involved to swap a system out for 1k bucks than to spend 2 days diagnosing why the widget isn't doing what it's supposed to be doing, only to find out it was a 35 cent humdinger that will take another day to replace....

Hi Everyone - Just got my new Ford Ranger after a 6 month wait time. Was looking it over and noticed all this spatter on the muffler seen through the rear wheel well. Can I bring this back to the dealer for them to warranty fix and replace the muffler? It's a defect right? Sloppy work like this makes me wonder what else is wrong. What would you do?

Thanks for that, but since it wasn't what i was meaning, I'll redefine my query.

By hardcopy, I meant the actual contract where its written you do not own a Tesla as indicated by the poster.

Ya kinda sloppy but it won't effect the muffler, so they probly won't do anything to help under warranty.

Part of it is I'm looking for a manufacturer/dealer who has some customer service. Like - sorry that muffler looks like crap here's some floor mats for your new truck. That would have been great. I'll have alot of business in the future but... nobody seems to care about quality. Maybe I should go back to japanese trucks with Kiazen and the Toyota way etc. Was hoping it was gonna be Ford but meh so far...

Mostly - I was surprised that this left the plant - looks like an inspector/QC lets that through, OK, interesting. Like I said - it looks unprofessional - sure it's functional but if I can do a better job welding.... I really dislike a restaurant where I'm a better cook, what am I paying to go out for...
