The Lariat models have sealed LED fog lamps. The XLTs have standard fog lamp housing that can have the bulb replaced. Or you can go with something aftermarket like Baja Designs or Diode Dynamics.Update: factory LED fog light bulbs are not replaceable unless replacing the whole housing.
Good thing with this glass paint is the more you layer it the more deeper it gets. Just top it off with a UV non-yellowing clearcoat.Page 22 of the FP Fox 2.0 install manual below shows fog light adjustment procedure. Also, Jack, @OFC Ranger has had good luck with this stuff.
After exploring my options, xlt's with the halogens should be a straight swap. You don't have to take anything off to get to them, but that doesn't mean they are easy access. I found the best way to get to them was by feel. Turn the tires for whatever side you are working on, line yourself up with the front bumper head facing tire, and reach your arm up in there. I'm willing to part and ship the diode dynamics bulbs that I tried.Anyone just swap to LED fog bulbs in their XLT tremor? Looking for install videos….haven’t found any Tremor specific, just fx4 and other packages…is the skid in the way? Can I still just reach up behind the crash bars to access them?
New here, sorry if this was covered already!
Finally got a chance to do them…fog lights really tested the patience ?. Here’s the results. After exploring my options, xlt's with the halogens should be a straight swap. Same. Ramps are the way to go.i did the switch to amber led fog lights in the factory spot on a xlt. it was a pain in the ass. not a lot to it just very hard to reach and awkward. i had the best luck with the truck on ramps and me on the creeper under the front bumper. did it mostly by feel.
How does it apply to the curved lens, fairly decent? My worry going with something like that is that I won't be able to get it close to the edges so the white will bleed through.Maybe this isn’t what you’re after but I’m surprised no one has mentioned lamin-x fog light covers (film). I installed mine yesterday, took maybe 20 minutes and didn’t require any disassembly. Of course I can’t speak to the durability but the company seems to have a good reputation so I’m not worried about them.

I actually thought the domed lens made it easier to apply, I followed the instructions of starting from the center and working around in a spiral to avoid air bubbles. There was a few mm of overhang on all sides which was easily tucked under the bezel with a dull slim edge. I used a hair dryer while applying mine to keep them pliable. I think it said they could take up to a week to fully “settle” but right now there are no air bubbles or creases and you don’t notice the edges unless you’re looking at it from a foot away haha. How does it apply to the curved lens, fairly decent? I tried Lamin-x on one of my old vehicles. It caused excess heat build up, which wound up melting the film and cracking my lenses. Naturally they told me to pound sand when I contacted them. Interesting! I’ll admit I didn’t do very extensive research but the reviews I found were positive and for $17 I figured why not. Guess I will report back if my fogs self destruct ?I tried Lamin-x on one of my old vehicles. It caused excess heat build up, which wound up melting the film and cracking my lenses.
