  1. Just one of those days (that your truck gets involuntarily painted)

I may have accidentally scraped an old car against the side of a garage with brown paint in a white vehicle. Clay bar, water and dish soap mix got it all right off, cept for the dent of course.
  2. Cold feet

Instead of having a temperature set try putting it to high. That will turn the fan to max and should provide a good amount of heat. Once it starts getting to warm just back it down. I’ve found auto doesn’t quite do enough when it’s cold cold outside. Also, wool socks.
  3. Ranger Tremor @ Usal Beach, Northern California

You came, usal, you camped! Sweet pics.
  4. Kia Rio (POS) front right wheel not turning

Stuck caliper or melted wheel bearing. If they get bad enough enough they can cause the wheel to not turn. Also checking parking break cable, could be that’s it’s not fully released or the cable has snapped leaving the brake on.
  5. Dashboard Issues in Rain

I got moisture in my gauge cluster from camping in the rain, got it replaced under warranty and got my doorbell chime back in the process(something I didn’t even realize I was missing) as well as a higher pitched tone for my parking sensors. Could be something there as well.
  6. fire ext. in your ranger

These are all great ideas! I really like the idea of those element ones and how they mounted to the side of the seat. I’d be more inclined to go the 100 version just because I do wood campfires and stuff and don’t want to take the chance of the 50 being not enough. I can’t use rear door pocket...
  7. fire ext. in your ranger

Figured this might be a good spot to ask, how are people mounting extinguishers? I have the Molle system in the bed and could always go that route but there are also rotopax back there so kind of a catch 22. I like the idea of having one but would prefer a 5lb in the cab.
  8. Auto Start Stop (ASS) Eliminator

If I want an ASS eliminator I just get out of the truck. Sorry, someone had to.
  9. Questions about road flares

Road flares don’t really go bad, but they do get moisture damage fairly easily which can make them hard to light. For example we had some stored in our outside shed, basically had to get a lighter to light the entire tip on fire. Same ones stored in a closet inside went first strike.
  10. Ford Maverick Outsells Ford Ranger In 2022

I think the issue here is price. The ranger in the US is an outdated platform in comparison to the maverick, bronco, f150 etc. Obviously that will change with the new generation but for now you can buy a maverick with a lot more features for much less, or you can buy an f150 for not a lot more...
  11. New Ranger Tremor Owner

I’ve got about 25k on my tremor stock rims and tires with the general grabbers. I will say they are pretty tire pressure sensitive. Door card says 39 but I find 35 is a lot better for my load out.
  12. Moisture in Gauge Cluster

Didn’t see this posted anywhere and is likely a one off issue but I wanted to document it. Had moisture form in my gauge cluster after a recent camping trip during the transition from warmer to cooler temps. It formed behind the plastic covering and left water spots on the plastic piece. Took it...
  13. UHaul question

Surge brakes, not trailer controller brakes. Towed there largest enclosed cross country no issues.
  14. When to use 4WD and when not? Need to know..

I try and stay in 2wd as much as I can, but I do the ol jump the gas and if the rear end gets uncontrollably sideways or traction control goes full lit light I’ll engage 4wd high. If in 4 high I wouldn’t go over 55mph. If you do it’s 2wd weather anyway. Just a friendly reminder: 4wd go does not...
  15. Rangers in SNOW

Drove through 11 hours of an 8 hour drive yesterday from Wisconsin to Michigan. Didn’t take any pics cause I didn’t feel like flying off the road but truck did great. I let a few psi out of the tires on my tremor put it in snow terrain management 4 hi and didn’t have any problems other than the...
  16. Builtright and Rotopax

It should. I bought builtrights mounting plate as well. Helps distribute the load to the rack but you could get away with just what you posted.
  17. Builtright and Rotopax

I have both of these things. No, it doesn't fit above the wheel well, only in behind it. Doesn't matter what they say, the rotopax do swell if left unventilated. Good news is that the way they are designed they don't spill even if you leave the cap a little loose (obviously depending on how full...
  18. Cloudy Headlight lenses

Had really good luck with these on my old car. Cleaned the yellow off them then applied this and they never yellowed again. https://www.weathertech.com/lampgard/
  19. Anyone want to throw an estimate at this damage ?

Just throw money at it until the problems go away.
  20. Rear axle spline count

Depending on what your doing, a torsen rear diff can also work very well and is actually a decently cheap and easy install. Would likely need to override the computer nannies though.
