Retired, work is a four letter word.
I have never had a vehicle that has done that before. It is one of the very few things I dislike about the Ranger.
I know, sounds like a big generator under load.

Are these sold as a pair or each?

So just upgrading the rear shocks helps the ride quality overall? I swear the front does most of the bouncing.

I found it made a big difference in ride, bumps and cornering. It made me wonder if I did the front as well, what would it be like.
I was very pleased. I was not kidding, just getting into the truck, if felt different.

I have the Fox 2.0 rears only. I use a RTT (roof top tent) over the bed. On the stock FX4 shocks, rolling from one side to the other in my sleep bag inside the tent would have the truck reverberating for 30 seconds. After the Fox install, no reverberation, no waterbed sensation in the tent.

I had the eibach shocks and they were a little too stiff for my taste, switched to the rough country ones which were actually half the price and I gotta say they are the perfect balance. I really like them so far. Did a little off roading this weekend and it handled amazingly well.
I'm having a issue with the ride of my 2020.. its not the fx4, just a 4x4 XLT.. but I leveled it, and added 32.5 in tires.. it now rides like crap.. what size tires are you running, and what model rough countrys did you go to?

Yeah, the rear replacement shocks totally change the truck. I can't believe there are people unwilling to do this simple upgrade to vastly improve the ride. $55 is very fair for the install. I did my Fox rear install myself, but for $55, I might have outsourced it just for the time back.

If you want another similar wow upgrade, disable the fake cabin engine noise. My truck rides quieter on the freeway than other vehicles in my household now :)

265/70/17 in SL. And the rough country N3 shocks and their 2.5 struts.

If your tires are E load, that will definitely add to a crappy ride IMO. Also check air pressures on tires.

I own a 2019 Lariat 4WD Super Crewcab. Stock suspension and tires/wheels. WAY too much body movement, often feels like a pogo stick. Eibach Shocks appear to be the consensus. Pricing parts and labor this week as I'm traveling during the holidays to visit family - Lariat's turn this year.

Any and all comments about the shock absorber choice are welcome. Not lifting/leveling Ranger.

If you are not lifting or leveling the Ranger bothe the Eibach and Bilsteins are good choices. Between the two I would go with Bilstein.

I am still 100% happy with my decision to replace the rear shocks with the Eibachs. The truck should have came with something similar. I imagine there would be improvement if you replaced the fronts as well, but I am happy with the improvement from just replacing the rears. I had mine done. They charged 30 minutes labour.
