What did you do WITH your Ranger today?

I took True North to my nearby Ford dealer for a wheel alignment after swapping out my 2-1/2” RC level for the Fox Performance 2.0 kit. My ”Change Engine Oil” message came on when I started up my truck, so I decided that was in order as well. My service advisor is a really good guy. Wheel alignment ($129) and The Works ($99) is $228 but he charged me $200 last time.

Today, he asks, How much do you want to pay for the alignment? I told him $99, he says, How about $100? ? How much do you want to pay for The Works? I told him $50. He says, How about $49. ? Whaaaaat? Done! Clearly, dealers are hurting a bit and if they’re buying loyalty, I’m happy to support them. I almost ran home to get my Passat but I just changed its oil last month.

Brand new premises for this dealer - everything is indoors, even the Service parking (P-1 and P-2) - Service Check-in is on main, car showroom is on the second floor, Lincoln’s on third, trucks on fourth. Spotless everywhere - cleaner than @AzScorpion’s Ranger on a Sunday morning.

I should have washed it before I brought it in. I felt like I just ate Oreos right before going to the Dentist. ?

I did 6.4 0-60 today. I need to get to the strip. Wheel spin in sport with advanced track off.

Drove to pick up some lumber. I was pulling a small trailer and am pretty happy with the mileage. About 110 of this is interstate cruising at around 70mph. Less than 10 were in town.

Here's the first half of the trip. I caught almost all the lights, so I only had to accelerate from a stop a few times. Wonder what this would have been without the trailer.

It’s apple harvest season in north Georgia. We hit a few of the apple houses to stock up on apples and some amazing apple pies that we freeze for the holidays. This house was packed, but we somehow managed to get the front parking space.

Went on a trail ride with a local facebook group. The stock FX4 handled everything nicely, even on the factory Hanook tires. Was a group of a bout 10, mostly Toyota's, a few Ford's, a Jeep, a Chevy, & a Nissan, all had better tires and most had lifts. I was the only Ranger in the group, got a lot of questions & compliments especially after I mentioned they were factory tires.

There were a few places I was expecting to get stuck or struggle with, a soft sandy hill climb and deep muddy water filled ruts. But the Ranger walked right over or through everything with ease, never felt out of sorts and always in control.
