People lease them because of the price point. It’s true they cost more to repair on average, but BMW has been a reliable brand for a number of years. I have a 2017 X5 that I bought new. It’s 5 years old and has 85,000 miles and I haven’t done anything but change the oil and buy tires. Still has the original brakes. Amazing engine and tranny combo. Best all around car I’ve ever owned.BMW #2.. lolz There's a reason why most people lease them instead of buying. They turn into absolute money pits after 3-4 years.
Before that I had a 2009 335i that I drove seven years before it got totaled in a rear end collision. Had the coils replaced at about 70,000; otherwise it was flawless. And, wow was it fast and fun to drive. Favorite car I’ve owned.
