Stock Ranger…

“The Frontier is powered by a naturally aspirated 3.8-liter V6 with a total of 310 horsepower and 281 lb-ft of torque, paired to 9-speed automatic transmission routing power to either the rear or all four wheels.” (281 lb/ft torque)

The Ranger also has just one engine option: the 2.3-liter EcoBoost turbocharged four-cylinder with 270 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of twist. A 10-speed automatic is the sole gearbox. (310 lb/ft torque )

Neither automaker has released official performance times, but the Ranger has been clocked going from 0-60 mph in 6.7 seconds. Because the Frontier's V6 is carried over from last year, a decent sprint to 60 mph can be estimated at around 7.5 seconds.

Car and Driver
”The new Frontier isn't much larger than its predecessor, and its 19- to 20-mpg EPA combined fuel-economy estimates are pretty much the same too. Power comes from the standard 3.8-liter V-6 in last year's truck. It makes 281 pound-feet of torque and a class-leading 310 horses, and pairs with a nine-speed automatic transmission. In our testing of this powertrain combo in the outgoing Frontier, we found that it didn't improve performance or efficiency over the previous 4.0-liter V-6 and five-speed automatic.

The 2022 truck is again no better than its predecessor, recording exactly the same 7.3-second 60-mph time and 15.6-second quarter-mile pass as the 2020 version.

Likewise, both new and old models returned the same 20 mpg on our 75-mph highway test. That said, the 2022 Frontier's acceleration feels adequate, and its naturally aspirated engine revs smoothly even when being worked hard, albeit without the low-rpm surge common to turbocharged powerplants.”

This might help…2019 Stock Ranger Unleashed 93 octane tune, (but not necessary to beat the Nissan..)

cool. I don't know much about dyno runs but is that HP number measured at the wheels, and what's it translate to at the crank?

At the wheels, Add 15 to 20% at the crank …

Who has lowest 0-60 run? Ranger w/FP tune or new 22 Frontier?
Ranger doesn't need a tune to outrun a Frontier. Or a Tacoma.

Install a tune and it starts thumping V8 full size trucks.

Even I got curious with the new Frontier as I do like the new design but I will tell you now that the Frontier doesnt come close to the Ranger in overall performance, towing and Fuel Mileage. If you feel lile teading in go ahead but chances are you will be a bit disappointed.

I had an F250 orF350 (I didn't get to see which) try me the other day. He took off the line 1st and then I realized my opportunity and it was pedal to the metal and I beat him in the quarter mile by 3/4 of a truck's length! No tune!

EDIT. In case any other trolls want to attack me for knowing a quarter mile on the street… Dot it was a guesstimation idiot!!!!! Go troll somewhere else and leave this forum alone!

i'm impressed...more that you marked out a 1/4 mile on an impromptu street drag race.
Still didn't thump him as the previous post implied, 3/4 truck length?? lol, that's worth laughing over.
nor do you know if he was even trying as hard as you.
You know, you really like beating up on people when they post something . So what! I guesstimated a freaking quarter-mile! I bet you're an Internet troll everywhere else also.

My lariat FX4: Ford Performance tune, LT285/70R17’s BFGs and MBRP exhaust is 5.6-5.7ish 0-60, best 1/4 mile to date 13.67 at 101. Frontier is not in the same ball park. Neither is Tacoma. Neither is any mid size truck. Mine runs dead even with 3.5 ECO’s, pulls away from Chevy 6.2’s around 70 or 1/8th mile stripe. ??

thumping is an exaggeration
Lol no it’s not. Stock 10 speed 6.2’s and 5.0’s run 14.4-14.6’s on a great day. I go to the track a lot. My worst run in 100 degree weather and full tank was 13.91. 1/2 a second in a 1/4 is a thumpin’
