Anyone buy the stubby?

It's 20.00 on Amazon....I have seen way too many people getting the antenna ripped off etc ... I'm going with the stubby Jr....the short one...anyone have one? How's it work? Pics?

I can't comment on AM/FM but SXM and GPS reception is unaffected.

Note there are some complaints of Amazon sending the wrong part number. I ordered mine direct from the vendor.

Yes, I got the stubby out of concern that the original "full-length" version might get ripped off in the car wash. There does not seem to be any difference in performance between the two, and I kind of like the looks of the original, and so I just put the stubby in for trips to the car wash, which is only a few times a year in my case....

The only differences are decreased reception range (no big deal if you mostly drive in metro areas) and the ability to receive the HD signal for radio. Most of us probably wouldn't notice a difference ref the HD but if you're an audiophile, you will hear less stereo separation, less dynamic range, etc. I plan on swapping mine.

i bought the stubby to clear my garage door. works perfect otherwise.

I got it to clear the roof in the parking garages, but I dont listen to AM/FM so can't speak for the reception.
