Anybody planning to lower their 2019 Ranger?

Well, I just spoke to my "insider" again at Belltech. I asked her if she could provide any additional information; more than what she provided on May 25th. She responded almost immediately! Here are her comments:

Good morning Frank,

Yes, to all of it! We are making the front kit where it will be able to do 2 or 3" of drop. The rear will be able to do 4, 5, & 6" of drop.

We are going to have 4 different kits and they will be labeled the following way.

2/4" for the 2WD

2/4" for the 4WD

3/6" for the 2WD

3/6" for the 4WD

The rear hanger will be adjustable and that is how you will get the option of the 4, 5, or 6" drop in the rear.

The front lowering will be done with an adjustable strut.

The kit that does the 3" in the front will come with control arms to keep the suspension geometry correct.

Hope this gives all of you hope and something to think about. I told her that there are 50 or 60 Ranger owners anxiously awaking their product. Per her previous email, release date looks like mid June; which I guess is about a week away!

Thanks for posting Kevin! They do look good. I will wait for the entire kit but definitely saving up for the purchase. What's your plan for the rear of the truck?

Thanks Kevin; I enjoy the chase. Crazy thing is, I still haven't bought my Ranger yet! The Ranger is the prefect size truck for me but if I couldn't get the ass end down a bit, I wasn't interested. I've been very close to settling on a leveling kit. I've tried to convince myself that I'd be happy with that. Very glad I held out! Of course now the inventory is very low so I'll still be on the outside looking in for a while! At least you guys will have the wheel and tire sizes figured out by then! Looking forward to seeing what you guys come up with.

Understood. When you get to be older and happen to be a sawed off runt like I am, climbing in and out gets old after awhile, plus everything else I own is lowered. I have never been a fan of anything jacked up. I do not know what your plans are, but if you like speed and playing around with modifications yourself, you will absolutely LOVE owning a ranger. I have never put my truck on a stop watch, but I will say that it is every bit as quick as my Focus ST. I have the same modifications to both vehicles and the EcoBoost engine responds very well to most anything you throw at it. My advice, get one and enjoy it!

I am looking to go with the lowered sport truck look because I want to be different. Seems like you couldn't throw a rock in a parking lot in my neighborhood and not hit a lifted truck or jeep. I don't dislike the look but I am so tired of seeing the same thing. My truck will be very rare in my area with a lowered sport look.
Not to mention that I grew up with muscle trucks like Lightnings, Extreme, and SRT prowling the street. These trucks caught my eye. The clean, low, smooth, look and the good sounding exhaust, I was hooked! Also, it was a very exciting day when a new copy of "Truckin" magazine came in the mail! I am beyond excited to see how this kit looks on our trucks! Can't wait to get my piece of the action.
I am also anxious to see how much better the Ranger will perform with the lower stance. A better ride and handling and improved MPG are all things I want for this truck. I do get out in the field quiet often but this Ranger ain't my ride for that stuff. She is a pavement queen!

I won’t be the Test Monkey as I was with the Freakride setup that took 3 months waiting on replacement Parts…Partially do to Covid Problems ..
(I’m sure they have their kit straightened out by now)

Probably won't be me. Going to take a few months to get the money saved up. Ballin' on a budget!

That would probably be me. I already have the struts. Just waiting on the rear suspension parts to be released. Already have two of my guys on standby for when the pieces arrive. I simply out it to them this way: if you want to get paid that week, you will be staying late one night and helping! Didn't seem to be a problem when I put it to them that way ?

I have a 2X4 that I would like to level by only lowering the rear end.
Previously, I was advised is wasn't possible (not interested in drastic modifications as this is a street ride only). Based on the above, it looks like maybe now it may be possible with the rear hangers mentioned above. Am I reading that right?

After all the excitement I was experiencing, I decided to check out the install instructions. They looked pretty straight forward, install, and get a 4 wheel alignment.

Then, I read the info at the beginning of the instructions. "4x4's may experience some vibration above 70 mph"...."do not use auto/4H above 50 mph"...."not responsible for driveline/4x4 damage".... This really has me spooked. Kinda pointless to have a lowered truck if you can't drive it like you normally would. One would think that with Bell Tech's years of experience, they could work it out.

I wonder if I could remove the front driveshaft during the summer ? I only use 4x4 in the winter.

After reading your post, I thought I'd do the same and read the install instructions. What I found interesting was the note at the end of the instructions. They made mention of "THE REAR".

The REAR of the vehicle MUST BE lowered accordingly for proper handling and performance and also to maintain warranty. We recommend using the BELLTECH 6530 flip kit..

Interesting that a rear flip kit part number is referenced; although when I searched for the number, it did not exist. But, I have to give them a break. It is 4:30 in the morning on the coast; most of them are probably still in bed! Today is the 15th; the "target" release date. Honestly, I'd consider it a success if they actually get it released this week.

At least perhaps we have a part number!

Why is Houston weather so weird?
The reason the weather changes so frequently is that rather large body of water just south of Houston. The warm gulf winds and the weather coming from the north collide just about along the Katy Freeway and explosions develop. Tornadoes are rare and when they come they are generally either F-0 of F-1's. Had to post it .........

I just got an update that they plan on doing the release sometime next week for the 2/4" kits.

For you fathers, it looks like a belated Father's Day gift this year!
