  1. FORScan Modifications

I wish there was an option to change the number of blinks. I like that my brides Sonata can choose between 3, 5 or 7 blinks thru the regular user setup interface.
  2. Considering a SuperCab, Anybody Regret Buying a SuperCab?

That was my reason for my choice as well. I was originally going to get a SuperCab and then I drove one. Hated that suicide rear door and the need to open the full door to access. If I wanted that, I would have preferred that they offer an Extended Cab instead.
  3. Mileage When Ordered Truck Arrived

Years ago I special ordered (new) a '92 T-Bird. I did this because I wanted the digital speedo and included oil maintenance monitor which no dealer would have ordered for stock. Back then the T-Bird was built in Canada. When I received the car I found a note in the glove box explaining that the...
  4. Thinking of an RV, BUT...

Those garages are quite common in a lot of areas in Arizona (elsewhere too I am sure), especially around Lake Havasu City.
  5. D vs S Drive Mode

I just put it in D and drive. The only time I mess with anything is when I may force a downshift (any one of several methods available). to use compression on some downhills to reduce brake wear. What is my MPG? I have no idea and don't really care. It is whatever it is. I didn't buy a truck...
  6. What did you do to your Ranger today?

Nowhere. It hasn't left the garage in three days. too hot to take it out and get it all dusty. lol
  7. Is there a way to keep cruise control on when you first start up your truck?

I agree. As far as the little ridge separating the switch sets; they are almost insignificant. You barely can feel them, and how do you tell if the ridge you first touch is between the first set or the second set? So you then you have move over to the and start counting. Inconvenient and time...
  8. Is there a way to keep cruise control on when you first start up your truck?

Good point but minimal exposure. My problem is the general place/position and function of the entire Cruise Controls switches. Personally, I would like them on the right side of the steering wheel. Next, the use of three sets of nearly identical pushbutton switches with not enough tactile...
  9. Is there a way to keep cruise control on when you first start up your truck?

I can relate, but in my case the bone of annoyance is they always seem to turn off the radio and turn off the Auto mode for the headlights, Kind of ticks me off. At least they follow my instructions to NOT run it thru their gratis car wash.
  10. Sport to Park @ 45mph, why on earth is there no lockout?!

Not quite true. If your desire was to go from S to N, you WOULD need to use the trigger lever. But that is troublesome as you would have to be careful to not go past N. The S to D does not need the trigger pull as it is already held released and would the detent would fall in when your reached...
  11. Sport to Park @ 45mph, why on earth is there no lockout?!

I am sure there was no intent to go to Park. It was just a too aggressive a move from S to D and the detent failed to engage to prevent further movement.
  12. Sport to Park @ 45mph, why on earth is there no lockout?!

I second this quote (and thought). They should NOT have required the trigger pull to transit from D to N. I never drove another vehicle that requires this.
  13. Do ya’ll turn your AC off before turning truck off?

I remember when I had a '92 T-bird. The manual specifically said to NOT depress the throttle when starting as it would interfere with the ECM (computer)'s ability to correctly establish the idle speed (or words to that effect).
  14. Sport to Park @ 45mph, why on earth is there no lockout?!

My first response is: 'How did move the lever? Did you reach down and just attempt to move the lever from S mode to D mode? Or did you reach down and give it a slap to move it? I don't normally drive in S mode so this is an SWAG of what may be happening: when entering S mode, you needed to...
  15. Why no Ranger advertisement?

Probably for the same reason that after the first ads for the Sport Trac after it was introduced there was nothing more in the way of ads. Ford was so afraid it would take away enough sales from the Fx50 sales that they would lose there precious claim to the 'best selling' tag line.
  16. Do ya’ll turn your AC off before turning truck off?

I leave it on. Even if the clutch is engages while cranking, I think if that little extra drag is enough to cause starting issued, you probably have more serious issues you should be worried about. In that same vain, my mom always turned off her car radio when she turned off the engine. I never...
  17. Lets see those Cab window decals!!

I 'think' it refers to the fact that many 'platinum' edition trucks slap a silver metal sheet on the tailgate and call it a Platinum Edition.
  18. Anybody planning to lower their 2019 Ranger?

I have a 2X4 that I would like to level by only lowering the rear end. Previously, I was advised is wasn't possible (not interested in drastic modifications as this is a street ride only). Based on the above, it looks like maybe now it may be possible with the rear hangers mentioned above. Am I...
  19. Ex Ford Engineer Tears down Evs

Yeah? And do those calculations also cover the cost (and space requirements for all the batteries necessary to keep the power on over night? Not to mention the resources need to manufacture all those batteries (plus replacements as nothing lasts forever), Of course I won't even get into the...
