Changes That Improved Functionality

My favourite mods are the Bilstein 6112's on the front and 5160's on the rear. The ride on and Offroad is excellent and the 6112's levelled the truck. I am also super happy with the 33" pro Comp mud terrains, Offroad they are great, on road they hum a bit but I don't mind a bit of tire noise. I also replaced the spare with a 33" pro Comp and added a 5th tpms. Finally the red arc tow pro has been a great addition, pretty easy to install and works like a charm.

Rear Seat Delete (DIY) on my Scab. Lots of room for tool cases and easily converted back to stock when it comes time to sell.

These 15 tool cases fit in the back. The trim panels are protected and I can easily access the jack and spare storage compartments.

The bed is usually full of larger tools or lumber.

Hey, Duke, nice delete! I am also thinking of taking the rear seat out of my super-crew since. There is only the wife and I, no kids or dogs, but we seem to carry around a lot of junk, changes of clothes, sporting goods, water bottles, suitcases if we travel overnight, etc., so no real need for a back seat to sit on but definitely would like more space back there. In your experience, after taking the seats out, is it necessary to put carpeting or other barriers in to protect wiring etc., or would it work with just removing the seat and going from there? Don't get me wrong, your set-up looks great and is definitely the way to go if you have the time and money (not to mention skill), but I just want to know if it can be avoided without any risk to functioning parts. Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer! Probably a lot of other members are curious as well!

Thanks Marc - there was nothing behind the seats of my SuperCab - not sure about CrewCabs. Be mindful of the rear vents and consider some sound deafening material and a simple cover.

There are some threads on rear seat deletes you should read. I’d link but I’m just on a pit stop on the way to the cottage.

I think my favorite mod has been adding 17" STX wheels with the Bridgestone tires. The added sidewall made for a more comfortable ride and I like the look better than the Stock Lariat Wheels. I did go to some larger sidewall tires on the 18", but, didn't want to mess with speedo adjustments. Didn't hurt that these wheels and tires only cost me about $300 all in.

Auto folding mirrors and windows going up on lock is my favorite. Plus being able to lower all the windows and let it cool down inside before i get in in the summer is awesome too!

I am new to Fords, is that a setting in ForScan? I had it in my Chevy Volt and I really miss that feature.

Have done a lot since my purchase in October 2019, but if I had to pick one mod that made the most difference, I'd say the front leveling kit from Rangerlifts. Don't know about other trims, but it greatly improved the ride quality of my 4x2 Lariat.

I agree Jim especially on the Lariat. My other pet peeve is only having one auto window instead of all four. There was also a mod for that one too but it should've been factory included.

Did you reuse the oem strut springs?

I did. Only replaced my fx4 shocks for 4 Bilstein 5100s and UCA'S

Let's see-form-fitting floor protectors, window tint, console tray thingie, Ford splash guards, bedliner, Craftsman blackout tool box, shorty antenna (this wasn't a looks thing, it was so that the truck could fit under the yellow clearance bar at the local parking garage), Draw-Tite tow bar for my bike rack, black letters for the tailgate, EcoBoost badge delete, STX decal removal (easy if the truck is new-just pick a corner and peel), and major driver's seat lumbar support surgery. This last mod was actually one of the first and the only reason I still own the truck.

Nope, just the front leveling kit. Remember there are a lot of different trims with different rides so I can't speak for others. My lariat is 4x2 and the factory ride was bouncy (like riding a boat). The level stiffened it up without making it too stiff and took that bounce right out.
