Not so dealer refused to replace the short block because of mods area rep overrode dealer. I find a 5k difference in repair work outrageous and the warranty work is with Ford not necessarily the dealer trying to rip him off.

12?

how old are you?

when i was 12, we didnt have the internet..we had rotary phones and Tonka trucks (the real metal ones that cut your fingertips off) to play with in the sand box.
And why do you care so much. Is it because a young kid has the same vehicle as you.... A bit insecure I see??

What happens with you flat tow with a 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon in 4L ? https://www.thedrive.com/news/39794...-new-jeep-wrangler-by-flat-towing-it-in-4-low

Ouch.

When I bought my FiST it had been quite a while since I had driven a stick.

A lane opened up on the highway and I moneyshifted into 2nd gear at about 85 mph trying to get 4th.

Caught it but the tach was buried for a millisecond. My guess would be it got up to 9 or 10k. Instant limp mode.

Thought for sure I was done. Got lucky though. No lasting issues.

Momentary lapses of judgement can be pricey.

Ha only if he complies with a dealer trying to rip him a new one
Seems like a slanderous thing to say.

Do you have a quote from another dealership to replace a motor in a 2.3l Ranger? The correct motor for the truck is over $6,000.

I remember those commercials....I liked the one with monkeys beating on a transmission with plastic baseball bats.
