Inside door rod/handle becoming detached.

Inside door rod/handle becoming detached on both driver side and passenger side just recently on my‘ 22 ranger. Anyone else have this issue? I’m taking it into the dealership Tuesday morning.

That comes off to expose screws that hold the door panel on. Looks like there is a pry mark on it. Should just snap back in unless one of the many clips are broken.

I tried to Snap it back into place but it won’t.

Gonna sound funny, but pull it off and check to make sure all the white clips are attached correctly...then pop it back on. I've had mine off multiple times and each time I verify the clips are attached before trying to press it back on.

Or you can just take to dealer and let them verify. it should (obviously) not pop out like that.

I would agree with that. The top one can be a bitch to get out, it's round and has a tab on the top. Let the dealer deal with it if it's under warranty if nothing else just to avoid broken parts

UPDATE: Took it to the dealership and found out from the previous repair from its transport, the Ford Dealership’s body shop was the one that forced & jammed the handle in with a missing clip and they chipped it. They are ordering a new handle and fixing it.

While there, I pointed out another issue. They are also going to fix the passenger side door misalignment. (rear door is 1/8 of an inch higher than the front passenger door). I am seeing lots of little things from the lack of Q&A coming from Ford from them rushing.
