When you say overflowing, do you mean you carefully checked it after sitting at least 15 minutes and found it over the hole in the stick? It may or may not be common knowledge that the stick is difficult to read even after sitting for days. I always check it at least twice and on both sides. One side is invariably smeared but the other will have a well defined mark. That may well be the only problem that will (but doesn't always) get Ford's attention. Smell is subjective, but a severely overfilled crankcase is either a defect or sabotage. Whether Ford corporate will care about your independent lab test for fuel dilution is questionable at best. It may come in handy if you later feel the need to pursue Ford for compensation I suppose.Wow... I Just bought this ford Ranger and I noticed dip stick smells like fuel and is overflowing. Wish I knew about this issue before I bought the truck. Parking this thing and getting an analysis. Seems like the dealerships just will kick it down the road as far as they can if you don't have hard evidence. As soon as I have the results I'm contacting corporate.
Yours looks low on fuel aka good I order a kit for mine my level on the stick is way past full and now the truck will sit till it goes in for oil change and rusted frameHere is my oil composition test from Blackstone. I never had any oil level issues but the smell was concerning. Was very strong to me. The test confirmed less then 2% which was good. However reading comments they said be aware of the copper and silicone. Since the test I replaced the oil with amsoil full synthetic signature series 5w/30 oil. Will likely run another test when I replace the oil in the future. Hope this helps others. More info shared more we all know. Cheers.

I sold mine my uncle traded his in on a f150 they both are 2020 and had gas in oil . He said when he went to dealer they know of this being a problem ford has no fix and was just told to keep eye on it . I sold mine for this reason because it is thinning the oil and causing damage . There are others on here that have had motors blow because of it . My uncle got his bought back by the dealer . The place I sold mine paid it off . I won't be buy any more fords I had a 2.7 with leaking oil pan . The 3.5 blow oil into the inter coolers. The Fiesta had a bad trans . So ford can go suck a tail pipe .Just checked mine this morning. Drove until normal operating temps then let it sit for 12min exactly (kind of impatient) but my oil dipstick smelled really strong gas but it at least was under the max line or at least up to it.
what are my next steps to get this resolved? What is danger if left untreated?
i also want to add, i think this is why my truck takes over 10min just for the cold idle to go down on cold morning. Anyone else notice this? Or maybe ive been spoiled due to this being my first automatic lol.
ill probably explore same option. Kind of unfortunate really loved this truck. Really pissed at all these companies screwing people over. Probably will lease cars from now on, doubt ill ever have a 120k mile honda/jetta with zero issues again. Maybe save up for a tesla lol.I sold mine my uncle traded his in on a f150 they both are 2020 and had gas in oil . 5w40 wow it calls for 5w30Ford, motorcraft 5w40...that was a 2000 mile interval test ( the engine has 5000 plus miles on it)..although within specs, not for 2000 miles, with that fuel dilution. I wouldn’t go over 3000 for an oil change. Did you test yours yet well worth the 28 bucks!
Regards
Doc
