It looks like you’ll have a worthy overlander rig when you’re done. A lot of work but worth it.

What’s the meaning behind the flag stripe insert? I’m sure the colour and the fact it’s there are not solely for decoration.

Ditch the CB and put in GMRS. It’s miles better and many groups are switching to it.

To top it off, I found out yesterday, it only has four tie-downs and no engine cover. Then Schilke called BS on a reply I made to a thread last night. Geez, I might as well install a damper now because EVERYTHING is ruined!

My tailgate falls harder than a Texan walking on ice (I've seen my fair share the past 72 hours)......and I like it that way (the tailgate that is)!

Anyhow, have you considered adding rock sliders?

Now that is mostly black and shouldn't present any problems at all
