My Hankook Dynapro ATMs didn’t even last 8,000 miles... the only added warranty I bought was the wheel n tire warranty though. Which Ford honored with no questions asked ?? Also for anyone wondering in a pinch, the spare tire is good for way more than 50mph lol

Took the little air dam / splash guards off, 5 min of time and it looks much better and adds an inch or so of ground clearance in that area. Zero mpg loss, it actually went up

Did you just cut them? Or were you able to find the clips/attachment points?

They have several attachment points per side. Not hard to access with a drill or socket wrench

Quick question for anyone who’s already towed travel trailers with these trucks. What model are you towing? How does it feel? How close are you to the alleged 7,500 lb towing capacity ?

Well it probably would be at that point… but I guess I’ll update y’all on the past months situations.. ( they aren’t pleasant )

Got in a wreck with the Ranger. Motorcycle cut the corner on a blind intersection and rolled right through it without stopping. Well when he rolled through it he met the truck. I got it turned in the split second I had to do it so luckily he caught the corner and not the full impact from the front of the truck. The truck is now at Ford’s collision repair shop and due to part shortages it will probably be there months. The damage so far has been
-Blown out tire
-Cracked in half wheel
-Cut brake line
-Broken brake caliper and rotor
-Bashed in front bumper along with bending mounts
-Snapped lower control arm right in two
-Pushed everything on that side of the engine bay back about 2”

Is the bike rider OK too?

Every time I read about something like this I tell myself I'm going to get a dash camera.

It seems like distracted drivers are multiplying at an alarming rate in our area and if something happens I want the truth to be documented.

Dennis, this is exactly why I bought my dash cam a couple weeks ago. It's just added insurance in case something happens and the other party tries to deny they did anything wrong.

Sad situation. I hope the Dealer makes all well.... As for your allegation comment...Ford tests trailer tow above the owner's manual 7500... No allegation...

Best wishes for a speedy recovery from the crash... Rest assured that the Ranger will handle trailer town up to the max 7500.

Yea I have no doubt it’ll pull 7,500 and even more in a straight line with no incline in 65 degree sunny weather and zero wind. It’s not going to pull near that in wind/ rain/ inclines/ etc. Which is why I said that

Overloaded by about 10% on Loveland Pass in the middle of summer.... It is not just a flat land rating.
