Installed. Everything looks good. Still have my climate screen. The process is MUCH simpler now than it was on the first update. Only took maybe 15-20min. I did have to re-initialize Android Auto, too, so hopefully the nag screens when my phone is actually connected will stop.

Though...there was no XML file for me to send back to Ford. This could be annoying.

Does the compass need recalibrated after updating?

That's odd...

What version/build were you previously at?
3.3.whatever

It didn't ask to do anything until I plugged my phone in via usb, and then I had to go through the Android Auto authorization process on my phone.

Installed. Fixed my main issue - no Sirius titles in instrument panel - but does seem to have to re-download all Sirius info like channel logos etc. climate controls are present as well. Very simple install process. 15 - 20 min is right.

Did Sync 3 download the XML file so you could report the update to the Ford Owner website?

I do not see an xml file in the zip file or on my usb so I’m guessing no. Is there Something else that needs to be done to get that or update the site without that?

Did you look in the SyncMyRide folder?

Just finished updating. Yeah simple fast update, just one key cycle before it finished. everything looks good, just have to re-pair phone. Mine did create an XML file in the SYNCmyride folder on the USB stick. uploaded to Ford, we'll see how long it takes for them to update their database. have to play with it and see if they did anything with themes and flash screens, mine did come back just how I had it.

Yep. All I see are .gz files.
Yep. That's what I see. I even re-checked on the Ford website to see if maybe it sent the data back to Ford over-the-air. Nope. It still thinks I'm on 3.3.

I'm going to assume you received the Installation Complete popup message stating you could now remove the USB flash drive?

Writing the XML file is the final stage of the update and is written to the SyncMyRide folder on the USB flash drive so a successful installation can be reported back to Ford.
