That's a really good point @SafetyDan . Your option is probably more stout, with the benefit of being able to tie the loose paracord end to something on the truck so you don't loose it, but a member on here had used the cap linked below to cover off the quick disconnect ends and said it worked well. I tried searching but can't seem to find who did it (if anyone can remind me, please tag them here!) I'll be throwing a dual ARB compressor into the truck as soon as I can get some time to mock it up, and I think that's what I'll use at the quick disconnects, since it requires less fab (and I can easily replace them if a rip/loose one...haha).

That is really nice as well. Point is to protect from crap jamming them up. I like PVC as it covers so Moisture doesn't get in. Those may allow water to seal in especially at 70 MPH in a rain storm. ;-)

I have the Dixon rubber covers. They have a vent/weep hole in the middle. So they're not 100% sealed. I shoot some WD-40 in the hole periodically, and I'm expecting to have to change the couplers after a few years. Not a big issue IMO.

I just went to Lowe’s and bought the smallest size chair leg covers. Comes in a four pack so I tossed the extras in my glove box in case I lose one. It’s a snug fit, actually takes a little wiggling to get it off so no way it’s coming off on its own.

Wish ARB had more info about this! But they have a Ranger specific mount out now.

What is this and where did you find it?

Look on ARBs website in the air section. It's down with the vehicle specific brackets.

It looks like they will utilize the space behind the rear seat.
Only issue with me, is from past experience running Arb twin...even with built in fan they get hot and its not a quiet compressor.
(noise level is kinda high)

I would imagine if you have passengers, they have to get out when using the compressor.
(noise level will reverb from the back to the cabin)

Kudos to Arb for making this...its a start.
But, I would’ve liked a bed specific mount rather than in-cab.

I have a 2000w generator I will be bringing on all of my trips. Charge stuff, light stuff, even run a space heater in the tent if needed. Have a 2gal Kobalt compressor Home Depot special I will bring along as well to air up. And an emergency 12v compact compressor as a backup

Your setups look really nice but too fancy for me right now lol
which heater are you running?

Having the ARB compressor mounted in the cabin would be quite objectionable. It’s pretty buzzy where I have it under the hood.

As for the in-bed mount, see my post #43...very easy to mount a coupler in the front corner using a simple piece of 1/4 x 1 stock.

So forgive my ignorance and curosity. I never had any type of compressor in my vehicle other than a plug in one if I had a slow leak in a tire.

Are the compressors you are getting, for off road use, when you purposely reduce the air pressure in your tires to go over rough terrain, than fill up the tires after you are done?

Or is it for another purpose?

Thanks
