I do not believe that there is. As for the cable, I got this one and it has worked flawlessly. No switch to have to remember to flip or anything. Just plug it in fire up Forscan and away I go.
That’s great. Quick question. Does the adapter have to be connected to the computer while uploading to the car?

When you are coding with Forscan yes. Any laptop with Windows 7 or 10 and USB 3 will work just fine.

Just be sure to backup the modules before you make any changes to the ASBUILT sections and make a note of the changes you make so you can revert back if something goes wonky on you. Just read up on the Forscan threads and there are some good how-to videos for using it.

Are you able to tell if there were any changes within CarPlay from version 19101 and beyond? I just tried 19274 and it’s the same issue. It’s almost like noise canceling is on steroids in CarPlay.

What I don’t get is why 19200 works perfectly in my wifes truck but horrible in mine.

I'm looking for the code to change with FORScan to add the Climate Control back in. Is there a master list somewhere?

Here is the Forscan mods list.

Climate View on Lariat right side instrument screen (You cannot change climate only view for when sync screen is off)
IPC 720-05-01
D8B8 xxxx xxxx (Mine was D8B8 0000 0025 as reference)
There are a bunch of other things you can change in there too.

I'm sure there were changes from 19101 as it's quite old, but I'm not really aware of any of the details for that particular feature domain.

If your looking for the Forscan code to get your climate screen back on your SYNC screen use this.

APIM 7D0-04-01 xxxx - xx0x - xxxx

This is the one that brought the climate screen back for me. The one in the prevision post is for showing the climate info on the Lariat dash display. You can't change anything from it.

Are the splash screen images embedded in the code or accessible in any way? Is there some way to switch one of them out for a custom image (a la myself or another one of our graphically talented folks make a Ranger one) ?

Used to be able to do that years ago. But no more. Would be nice but only pics they offer without forscan is that simple crappy wallpaper.

First I don't know. I haven't been brave enough to open the .TAR.GZ files to see what's in them.
Second, pretty much same as first. Would need someone braver and more programming savvy than me to dig into the tarball and then be brave enough to try and load it into their truck. Hopefully not bricking their APIM in the process.

Interesting thought though.

For me, I'll live with the Raptor screen or maybe the Ford Performance Cobra for now.

Based on your comment, I thought I'd go look - they all expand out to .img files, which are another binary file - unless you had something that could read those, I don't think you could change anything in there.

Kind of what I suspected, way beyond my tech level. I use programs, I don't write them! ?

Thanks to all of you who helped. I was able to upgrade to 3.4 and get climate control back. Wonder what else I should modify???
