We pulled the trigger last night. '19 silver XLT FX4 with the 302a package. MSRP was just over 40 and we paid just under 33.

They had the same deals as Roger noted, 0% at MSRP or standard financing at a discounted price.

Very excited! I've been driving an 06 Scion xA that I bought new. It was bone stock, manual transmission. It's amazing how vehicles have changed in the last 15 years. Prices too!

Well guys I'm new here. I'm about to go look at a few rangers today. My eye has been on the 0% but focusing on getting the best discount off MSRP coupled with that offer. I'm looking at an STX crew cab 4x4 and I'm in the Chicagoland area so many dealers to shop at. So far my best price I've been quoted has been $35,136.72 out the door. My tax rate is 5.5% I have no trade in and excellent credit. I do not plan to pay off early as I'll just take the 0% and put extra money elsewhere. The msrp of the ranger in question is $34,825. What do you guys think?

IMO, you cannot beat the savings of the 0% over the course of a 72 month loan. In my case back in April, with excellent credit, the 0% will prove to save me about 6 thousand over the life of the loan - the rebates don't come close to that savings. I would definitely look to get the best price off MSRP that you can and go from there. Good luck!

That’s just shy of what I paid for my 19 Lariat fx4 supercrew in January. I think it’s a bit high. At my interest rate I’ll have paid $38,800 over the 60 months.

I don't think you'll get the 0% with much of a discount below Msrp. That's what I was told. It worked out better for us to get the standard rate with the discount and our down payment.

My wife works at a company that gets X-Plan pricing with Ford. For those not familiar with what that is, X-Plan Partners pay dealer invoice pricing no matter what the options are on it. Part of the plan states they have to show me the actual invoice for the truck so the numbers all match for financing. So I got a killer deal on my 2020 Lariat 2WD with the 501A. Also included was locking rear diff, adaptive cruise, running boards, factory tow, bed liner, tinted windows, wheel and tailgate locks. Sticker on the truck was $39,425 and invoice was $31,675. With TTL and all it came out to $34,923 with 4K down and 0% for 72. Not z bad deal overall for a near 40K truck.

There is a sticky thread on how to get x-plan pricing. If you want to know, you can follow the instructions in that sticky, from the x-plan site, shop and build and it will give the discount in the build. Rebates are stacked on top of the x-plan pricing. In some cases, the dealer discount is larger than the x-plan pricing.

Once you have a X-Plan link the Ford site adjusts the prices that you should see at the dealer. It's pretty nice that they do that. Made it super easy to know what to expect when I decided to buy it. No haggling, no salesman going back and forth to get approval. Just a simple here's what we paid for it and that's what you pay. Do you want to buy it?

Hmm.... Sure... Why not...

The're were only a couple incentives available totaling 1500 when I bought mine. That pretty much ate the bulk of the TTL. I did pop for the extended warranty since I got 0%. Otherwise I would have skipped it and purchased it later. That raised the out the door price a little bit, but still far below sticker.

Ok so Ive found yet a better deal since I first posted. I found an XL Ranger super crew that MSRP's out to 36,400. Again its a 2019, and I'm after the 0%. They are offering to discount it $3500 plus TTL. Comes out to 35,218.95, or $490 a month. Its an XL with quite a bit of add ons, 4x4, tow, running boards, locking rear diff, chrome appearance, copilot 360, 17" aluminum wheels with all-terrain tires.

Ill admit I wish I could tell myself I can afford to go higher, and I can but my gut is telling me to stick to my budget of $500 a month no more. So hence me shopping for lower models. Not many to choose from optioned out perfectly, and these XLT's with sport appearance top the MSRP charts at 38-39k. Im already having a tough enough time getting dealers to give me a good discount, the inventory selection makes it tougher. I think i might pull the trigger on this one.

Also, I know based off the invoice pricing sheet posted here earlier in the thread that $3500 off MSRP is well below invoice or any Xplan pricing I could get.

This is why I waited a year. A new truck last year was too tight on my budget. This year, way more comfortable. I got exactly what I wanted.

To me, there's nothing I'm not getting that is a dealbreaker. No bed liner sucks but I can get that done at a local LineX for $500. Tow was a must. Copilot 360 was high on my list and my main reason for wanting an XLT. I found an XL with that. Probably the only one locally. I drove a Subaru outback that had the lane-keeping assist with advanced cruise and man I want that hahaha. Sure nicer gauges, bigger radio screen, heated seats would be cool but not at the cost of adding a few thousand more. Remote start is huge to me and this doesn't have it, however, I discovered a simple plug and play product on this forum that I couldn't believe how easily it installed and worked, I'll be buying that.

Hey all- I just came home with a 2019 Ranger Lariat.

at the dealership I felt great like it was a good deal but then looking at TrueCar the value of ($28K) the Ranger is $8K less than what I owe ($36K) but yet the dealer discounted $5K under the MSRP of $45K and my $4K down. Does that sound like it’s a good deal? And is it normal that the value of the Ranger on TrueCar and KBB is much less than what I owe? Thanks in advance.

Personally, I think 5k off an almost 2 model year old vehicle is not enough - the TrueCar price is probably reflecting the depreciation over 2 model years (that is just a guess). Even though the truck is new, it is still almost 2 model years old which will come into play when you sell/trade it.

Sounds like a great deal to me.! Short term, all new cars lose a lot of value. Hopefully, the Ranger will prove its value long term. The longer we keep them, the better Chance we have to get value on resale.

Given some of the recent postings about supply, I can see why Ford is not making deals on them. I guess it isn't a good time to buy right now. I certainly wouldn't want to spend almost MSRP on an almost 2 model year old vehicle (referring to 2019s). Maybe when the output from the plants starts hitting dealers again things will improve.

At the end of the day the only thing that really matters is that you like what you bought and are happy with how much it cost you.
