Those are 265/70/17 general grabbers, it's what comes on them factory for the bronco. I'm on a Icon stage 5 lift so it fit fine, I'm pretty sure it should fit on the stock suspension as well though. I did have to push the front crash bars out though it was just rubbing on full lock in reverse. I...
I have not, I know my springs squeak a bit but I rarely drive with the windows down and I can't hear it otherwise. Maybe I'll do the wolfman fix this fall, I need to disassemble the leaf packs and freshen them up. I'm a little disappointed in the Icon paint job.
I haven't seen anyone recommend SPC's yet. I know there are a few of us on here running them. They have a greaseable ball joint and make adjusting camber and caster very easy on the Ranger. I've been really happy with them for the year I've had them. Usually a bit cheaper than most other...
So I crawled under the pickup this afternoon and started poking around. Not sure why I hadn't thought of it before, but if you get under and just push up on the frame it's pretty easy to cycle the suspension. Mines definitely coming from the leaf clamp. I noticed that one of the leaves is not...
Sounds like you need an Action Packer. I have used one to haul chainsaws to and from Kansas (from Illinois) for a decade. Seals pretty tight, and you aren't going to hurt it if it slides around or falls out.
This is what I wanted when I was looking for toppers last year. Looks solid but those cross braces are seriously in the way. Why do you need to put a truck on top of a truck? That price tag... Ouch. Glad I didn't wait and built my own.
I appreciate your dedication to figuring this out! How are you going about diagnosing this? That's the issue I have. I can't figure out how to recreate the noise in the shop, maybe I need to have my wife drive down our bumpy driveway and walk along?
I used fluid film on mine with the same gun as Steven. It held up really well over this past winter in Northern Illinois, probably the same amount of salt exposure as Michigan. It certainly didn't come off after any rain or washing this spring. I'll definitely clean up the underside here in the...
Thanks Duke! The topper is holding up well so far. I have one small leak around one of the windows that I need address but other than that it is holding up nicely. I am accumulating parts and wires to add some lighting back there, as of now it's barebones. I'll update when I get to that this fall.
Hey Mike, I haven't noticed any overheating problems, it was 105 degrees across eastern Colorado and western Nebraska on our way home from Utah this summer and it was fine. It doesn't really block the radiator at all it's the air conditioner condenser that sits lower. I'm pretty sure the 589 fab...
You guys got me thinking now. It looks like the hangers are the basically the same as factory in that link. I haven't checked the size of the bolts back there but would something like this work:

It's definitely a cheaper option. Especially if it...
I've just gotten used to it, but I rarely drive with the windows down so it's not terribly noticeable. I looked over on Tacoma World( sorry for cussing) and it's definitely common but it seems like there aren't any bullet proof solutions.
What spring option did you go with, I did option 2 with...
The last thing I wanted to get set up was a winch. I have had my eye on the Schrockworks low profile winch bumper for a long time but I just didn't want to pay for it(all my money went to suspension parts). I really don't have a problem with the stock bumper and came across Overlandish Rangers...
I wasn't confident in the stock Hankook SL tires on the truck for off roading and wanted to either new tires or buy a whole new set of wheels and tires for trips. I don't mind the Hankooks for daily driving so i will definitely use them up. I was keeping a eye open for a set of steelies and some...
It's been awhile since I've updated my build. Seems like a good thing to get caught up on while I watch golf. I had a list of things I wanted to get wrapped up before we went to Utah on vacation back at the end of May. The roof rack needed to be finished. I was planning on using 80/20 but went...
It's fun convincing the higherups that you need a 22,000lb gooseneck and a 2 ton truck to haul around a 299d3 with a brush mulcher on it. It's really amazing how much new equipment weighs these days. The next step is making them understand it would be much safer and easier on all the equipment...
I concur with Jason, do not get General Grabber ATX tires if you are worried about throwing rocks. My Rokblocks have gotten a workout since I put the Bronco takeoffs on.
I fabricated the cap myself. Couldn't find anything in the market that I really wanted (especially for what everyone is charging for them). The basics are taken from Ripcord's DIY GFC camper build over at Tacomaworld. Here's my build post in my Truck thread...
