Hoping there was a bad run of batteries. Got out of work and Dead battery. Ran the in dash diagnostics and under 10.5v on the battery.

ford roadside on way gonna charge it up and idle it a bit and then off to dealer tomorrow.

as a side note my auto start/stop hasn’t only gone off once but didn’t think anything of it.

There have been a few people reporting bad batteries. It's not super common, and I don't think anyone has reported problems after replacement.

That’s what it has to be. Dead again this morning after 14v on shut off last night. Engineering mode reported 8.2v this am and then the display completely disappeared before I could get a pic.

Waiting on jump if we can get it jumped then going straight to dealer.

Update: Got to dealer turned off and instadead

Dealer tested: Failed battery, in and out in 20 minutes.
I had this very thing happen, years ago. Bought a new battery, worked fine for about a week, then it had enough power for the headlights but wouldn't crank the motor. The guy at the battery shop said one of the cells in the battery broke loose. It happens.

Glad you got it fixed.

Just for the heck of it I checked mine today and found 12.2 reading. So I hooked up my battery tender and it took several + hours to reach 80%.
Looks like it won't be till morning before it hits full. For a daily driven vehicle that isn't very good. Hasn't failed me yet, though.
If you have one of these tenders I recommend doing this once a month to keep it topped up.
Seems as though a load put on it even for a short period of time brings it down quickly and very slow to come back up.
Low quality? I guess we'll all be finding out.

Since having the dealer replace my battery have had no issue at all with mine. Even in single and sub single digit weather.

Well, I took today off to go to the dentist at noon today. Went to start the truck with the remote (fordpass hasn't worked in days) and she would not do a thing. Went outside and tried the remote again, still nothing. Went to open door with key fob and...you guessed it Nothing!!! What a weird feeling having to use the key!!!! Get in the truck and put the key in the ignition and nothing at all.
Took the company car to the dentist and when I got back I called the dealer and had it towed in on a flatbed. Before truck got there I popped the hood and checked the battery with a voltmeter. 4 volts. So the trucks at the dealer now. They're supposed to look at it tomorrow. Last time I drove it was Sunday. We shall see what happens. Oh yeah, delivered in August and has about 4100 miles on it. This is a guess on the mileage because....well....the damn battery's dead!!!!

Why didn't you just go to a local parts place and get a battery?

Under warranty, why pay for something Ford should be covering?

Opinions Vary. 6 month old truck with 4,000 miles. That's about the same as our Ranger and there's no way I would allow it be towed to a dealership because of a bad battery.

Hey, I just did what the dealer wanted me to do. Why should I waste my time and money buying a new battery for it when its covered by warranty? I could have jump started it but why should I when I was able to get it to the dealer and let them see the problem first hand. And how do you know that the battery is bad? Am I inconveniened, yes, to the point where I can't drive my truck. But in the meantime I'll just drive my company car and let them pay for the gas while I get my truck fixed for free under the warranty I paid good money for. The only thing it cost me was the 20 bucks I gave the tow truck driver. But you're right, opinions do vary.

They do. You asked, that's my opinion, and apparently his as well. For a dead battery in effectively a brand new truck, that's cause for concern even if it is just a battery. It's outside of the usual and personally I'd want it looked at as well. Batteries aren't cheap either, normally $150+ for a good one.
