The in-channel are better, stronger and less likely to rattle or come loose, but I very much prefer the continual look of the exterior stick-ons like AVS.

Thanks, yours to, too, two, someone will get that :giggle: Are they the best? I don’t know! Best bang for the buck? I doubt it. I seem to think these are pretty high quality and their, there not that cheap but any chance I get to buy a US product I’m all in.
Also, I like them because they have a professional OEM look...like they were designed for a Ranger. I will pay more for product that looks good and has high quality!

I don't think WeatherTech makes them for SCab back doors since the windows don't roll down. Not sure about the SCrews. I think they look fine just on only the two front doors....

Do these mess up the airflow when the window is down?

I put a set on my Jeep, which is the first vehicle I've owned with a sunroof where I actually use the sunroof, and the airflow was so messed up that I returned them.

I don't drive with the windows down on the Ranger nearly as often as the Jeep, but I don''t want a tornado in the cab if I do lower the window.

In my opinion, they actually help. In my case, they eliminated the buffeting experienced when only a window or two were cracked and they also reduce the wind noise. I have never installed any before and am glad I did.

i had weather tech metal clip ones isntalled on my Jeep. They barely lasted the summer the clips kept letting go and they slide right on out sometimes at home and sometimes at highway speeds.

don't have any yet for the ranger I want a set of them as they help keep the truck cool in the summer heat.

On my Supercrew there were no clips. You just bow the front deflector and slide it in. The rear ones come with adhesive tape. They do give you a tool to run between the deflector and window seal to seat the deflector.
Maybe the Scab’s come with clips?

When I bought for my '19 SuperCrew, there were no clips.
When I bought for my '21 SuperCrew, there were clips. Go figure!
I doubt seriously those clips are gonna come out of my Ranger as they were pretty much a beast to get in correctly and are helped to be held in place by the deflectors too.
My deflectors are in danged tight.

So what's the big advantage of these? I have heard reduced noise when window is down, keep interior cooler (I assume because you can leave the window cracked open). Anything else?

I’m a little Leary. My wife’s VW Tiguan has the VW ones and they rattle really bad.

Huh. Wonder why they went to clips. I’ve only had mine since 9/21 and purchased them directly from WT.
Are yours Part # 9364?
