Why Is The Mileage So Bad On The Tremor?

Mine got around 15-ish when I first drove it off the lot. Now that I am getting close to 2k miles, I have added a Tonneau cover, and a set of highway tires to use during road trips and daily commuting, I see about 19-20 city, and 25 highway. But I also didn't get the Tremor for fuel economy. I am looking forward to putting the A/T's back on for this "snowstorm" that's coming...

Edit: I also use the Cruise Control whenever I am on a highway with medium to no traffic. That helps a lot too.

I don't have a Tremor, but have the Ford Fox Level and the same size tires as the Tremor. My mpg average driving 90% in slow stoplight traffic is a little over 15 mpg. Highway I get around 22.

It's how it's driven, usually I get 16-17 mpg, light footed cruising on the hwy I can hit 20, maybe 21 if I'm really easy on the throttle, but that's hard for me, overall I get 17 hwy and city the way I drive.

My truck has stock tires, leveled in the back not the front and the Ford tune.

I recently was driving through Arizona had the truck on the speed limiter for miles at a time, at 3800 RPM it was getting 15.7-16.4 mpg, that's pretty good in my opinion, the F150 I traded in would get between 10-11 mpg flat out like that. (disclaimer, wide open empty road, no other cars whatsoever)

Meh i dpnt really care much as i have a gas sipping civic that gets 41-44 mpg on hwy. My tremor wont be my daily driver

When I first purchased this truck in November I was getting around 18.2 MPG for the first 30-45 days (89 octane). Now, maybe because of winter, I am down to 15.5-16.5 MPG. The only change I have made is now I am putting in 93 octane. Not sure is that caused the drastic decrease.

Cold and winter gas will do that. I average around 17mpg because I need to idle the truck 10 mins x 2 every single day.

I don’t know, but to me: the wrong ones.
My personal experience is that it should be more like 16-17 city and 24ish Highway.
Even if I mat it on the on ramp, mileage is still pretty good in the freeway, even with some stop n go. So I don’t get how they got down to 19.
In the burbs and even on hills I’ve found that I can get 19…if there are no stops. So also unrealistic for ‘city’ driving.

After that first tank, I've been babying the pedal almost all the time (but not all the time) and I have been getting around 20.5 (again, calculated by Fuelly) driving in mostly city/suburbs type situations.

Have not taken it on any longer highway runs yet, but am expecting/hoping for 22 or so.

It's been said many times on here it's either Eco or Boost but never both. ? When I drive with a light foot I can average 22 mpg with a mix of city/highway driving. Once you get into it you can watch those numbers tick down fast. It's really hard not to lay your foot into the pedal because it's so much fun driving these trucks but it can be done.

On one of our trips to Mexico which is mostly highway from here (maybe 20 miles of backroads) and I averaged 26.1 cruising along at 70 mph. It's about 180 miles each way and mostly flat until you get close to Yuma, AZ where there's a few hills.

I have a new 2022 Ranger Tremor with under 2,500 miles. I haven’t broke 17 mpg yet. Mixture of city and highway driving. So not sure how people are breaking 20’s. Please let me know.

I keep my tires at 39-40 psi and I drive like I'm retired and have nowhere to be anytime soon and am averaging 20-21 mpg consistently. Now, if I get on the interstate highway with 70mph speed limits and maintain speeds with the flow of traffic, it drops to 19mpg real quick.

I'm not sure where you live, but do you have winter gas? Winter gas gives you worse MPG.

That keeps messing with people here.

I averaged 22 mpg in my Tremor driving to Tennessee with plenty of hills. Cruise was set at 70 mph.

No winter gas here.

I typically average around 17 mpg, with a ton of short trips.

650 miles and yet to break 16 on the lie -o-dometer... dunno, maybe it's the steel hood and fenders on the '22's? how I long for the 19 rating!
