Is this the one you have? I read the directions and it looks rather time consuming. You have to remove a wheel and a plastic panel with a bunch of panel clips?
Depends on the year I guess. Here are the instructions for late 2021 up. Video here.

Yours is a 21 and most likely is the time consuming pain in the butt style. In 22 they changed the hoses and they can be easily accessed from the top of the motor.

A customer support rep and long-time Ford employee who mans the phones at Ford performance said a catch can would be the first thing he added to his Ford Ranger.

Just on that recommendation I pulled the trigger.

I went with a Ford performance version because of the clean OEM installation. It was super simple to install. Breaking the clips on the factory hoses just requires a little finesse - I used a pick tool and just kept digging at it. It only took a couple minutes.

I have the Ford Performance one for the top side and a catch can on the intake side. In cold weather both are collecting.

I looked at the above along with two others mentioned here.
My concerns with the Ford product are the capacity and draining process.
What part numbers from Ford Performance?
Just Google Ford performance catch can ranger. It will lead you right to it. Pick the M-6766-R23 link to see the installation pdf.

OP here. I've looked at the three favorites mentioned here and the UPL looks good enough for me.
Easy installation, good access to the can for draining. The 19-23 Ranger 2.3 Ecoboost Single Valve Oil Catch Can Separator Plug N Play™ is also easy on my wallet.

The 19-23 Ranger 2.3 Ecoboost Dual Valve Oil Catch Can w/CSS Plug N Play™ is quite a bit more pricey. Comparing features the dual valve 2 oz. more capacity.

Does the "Dual Valve" version offer any thing else to justify the $130 cost up, and more complicated installation?
TIA,
Dave

I had the Mountune dual can set up and it was perfect! It was very pricy but instal was easy and the build was flawless. I don’t think they make them anymore so you might find a use one around eBay

You have a 2019, there’s no “easy” installation on the 2019-2021 early. It’s the lower connection that will be the stressful part. The top portion ( can mounting) is easy on all of them. Doesn’t matter what brand can . I also would recommend the adding the Ford Performance one too. That way you’re catching everything.

I like the OE look of the Ford Performance kit, but capacity, emptying by just removing and pouring out, and no cleaning procedures mentioned.
Has anyone had one apart or has any experience emptying and possibly cleaning it?

You listed my concerns. Plus the price. I've never done well with wiring connectors. I reckon 20% of connectors I've taken apart went back together with electrical tape holding them together.

Yes, several times. I take the top cover off ( 4 allen head screws) then draw out most of the brew with a syringe. Then give a rag or paper towel a few squirts with brake cleaner and wipe out whats left. Then spray down the top cover and screen. Or you can remove the hoses ( fairly easy clips) and then remove the seperator ( just slides over a tab) and pour it out. But you wouldn’t be able to clean the inside. Top cover has a reusable rubber gasket. Again this only collects what comes out of the valve cover and goes into the inlet hose for the turbo.
Also no wires involved
