Took Annie out to Manuel's for her birthday. It's one of our favorite Mexican restaurants here where you still get good food for a decent price. Luckily there's a really good Mexican restaurant right near where we're moving to. ???

What, no margarita?

Food looks good though.

Unfortunately not this time. I had to many places to go after we ate and between the heat and being tired I wasn't taking any chances drinking one. I'm a lightweight now. ?

The food was really good!

I'm a fan of being completely retired. It's been 15 months and not once have I been bored nor have I missed working for one second. Unfortunately, retirement comes too damn late in the life cycle!
It’s funny you bring this up because I was going to post a question to you. Something like, “When did you say to yourself, when I retire, I’m going to fish all the streams I’ve always wanted to and a bunch I already have?” ?

My favorite Mexican restaurant in Tucson was the 'El Indo, on the South Side; great Oaxacan style fare. Unfortunately Covid got it. :frown:

Yeah, unfortunately covid ruined a lot of things in this world!

I've never been to Tucson. The closest we were was when we did a small 4 day trip to Tombstone then down to Bisbee then up to the Titan Missile Museum which was really cool to see.

Has always been the plan for retirement. Also includes hunting. Got a rut bow hunt in KY set up already And probably get to Texas for a late season whitetail hunt as well.

Yeah... the border ?
I'm close to the border now, actually closer than I'd liked to be. That's another reason we're moving farther away. You'd think living here in AZ there'd be all these great authentic Mexican restaurants but it's the opposite. Most are overpriced, bland chain restaurants. :puke:?

I Hauled a Crate engine 2.3L ecoboost from the Ford Dealership... with my 2.3L ecoboost. I'm glad I bought those APG Deaver leaf springs! The Ranger didn't even notice that it had a spare in back.

Pictures from recent vacation to east TN, Cades Cove, Parsons Branch Rd, Foothills Parkway. Last 2 in panoramic. Can't compare with out west views but I can get there in 3-4 hours vs 3-4 days.

On the contrary!
I now live out west and while I agree we have beautiful scenery here (in places), I find myself often missing such scenery as you have posted.
I grew up in southern VA and have often seen similar to what you've seen on your vacation. God's country...

Sorry Chris my Dad called Oregon Gods Country a long time ago. We have the Ocean, Mountains, Lakes and Desert all with in a 3 hour drive. Most 1.5 hours or less.

I'm pretty sure God owns it all anyway, so we can both be right ?
