Thanks for all the info, so $1,799.99 for what I want.

It sounds high but it's a complete kit with the entire new center console and ac/heat controls.

Anyissues with those connections? It's all a 1-for-1 wiring installation?

Apart from being a serious install (picturing myself breaking every clip), I think I'd miss the fan and temp knobs BUT ... clearly, the touch screen adds so much more function (like Google Maps).

Thanks again, this is really something for me to seriously ponder for next summer! =)

my additional steps with any trim mods that I attempt =p

Yes, it all one for one and went flawless. I followed the you tube video carefully. I watched it in entirety before install and had it on my phone going step by step pause, complete step, rewind to ensure I did it correctly, then proceeded until the end.
? I worried about this plastic clips too, I did use the plastic pry tools to help me ease into pulling parts off the dash etc...but every clip survived and went back into place. Whew!
You got this! ?

A truck, a rope, shovel, tarp, deserted country road in the winter. First thing that comes to mind….

I went looking for some off road areas where I could play with the 4WD. Well, epic fail. Everything the truck did, my Corolla could also do. I found no areas where 4WD was needed and I'm beginning to wonder why I opted for it. I used On X Offroad but all I could find was hard packed gravel. I just wish there was a muddy area where I could mess around with the different drive modes. Oh well.

David ( @subquark ) will be proud. The Ranger conjured up its inner Soupie and did a couple of dump runs of brush.

YES and 100% Soupie Safety Approved for dump debris loading!

Outstanding and also Cheech Certified!

Nice tarp and tie down action and you're living the credo:

Making dump runs safer—one load at a time.

Be like dapakattack, not this guy.

I'm not sure how far it is from you, but Old NC 105 might suit your needs. I did it a couple of times this summer after @Msfitoy & @alan0614 suggested it to me. It's starts off gravel, but is mostly hard-pack dirt; the second time we did it, it was bone-dry, and a 2wd could have handled it no problem, but the first time was after a rainstorm and it was somewhat muddy, so it'll depend a lot on the weather.
