N-Ice! Would be more challenging if it ended in the water.
As teens, we would go about 2 miles from my house to the edge of the valley behind some houses and go down the hill with sleds. The challenge was there was a narrow section that went off the one side at about a 45* angle. If you were off track, it was fast ride to the bottom where you tried to stop before you ran into the trees. If you made it past that narrow section, there was a creek at the bottom that you hoped was frozen over.
There was usually an old car hood or trunk at the bottom of them if you really wanted a challenge.

I installed the Ford ranger engine cover on my FX4/STX ranger. Seems like it has some engine noise improvement and maybe some protection, but who knows for sure. The visual look of the engine bay seems more complete. ?

It's a ride alright! It's ice and you can't let your arms hit the edges or it can shred your coat!

At the bottom, on the boardwalk, there's usually someone selling frozen maple syrup. They pour warm maple syrup onto the snow and wrap it around a popsicle stick.

On the right is the St. Lawrence which freezes over and they have boat races across it.

My ranger came with the 4 inch screen...no android auto or Apple car play. Got the 4 to 8 inch upgrade from 4dtech.

Just wrapped up the removal and install. Now I am like a normal ranger owner. ?

Everything is running perfect, and more hands free driving!

There is a few companies that make the 8 inch conversion for people who have the 4 inch screen. It's expensive if you ask me, but it's the easiest solution. When you order or purchase you enter your vin #. They program the 8 inch head unit before shipping it to you. Then you do the install following their video on YouTube. I have seen other companies that have a 12.1 inch screen too, so you could make your ranger like the 2024 + rangers. I put the links below.

Thanks for all the info, so $1,799.99 for what I want.

It sounds high but it's a complete kit with the entire new center console and ac/heat controls.

Anyissues with those connections? It's all a 1-for-1 wiring installation?

Apart from being a serious install (picturing myself breaking every clip), I think I'd miss the fan and temp knobs BUT ... clearly, the touch screen adds so much more function (like Google Maps).
