Well, the Ranger was the only joyful part of this. And it got about 21.3 mpg at 75-80 mph on an emergency root canal journey.

Kate's been fussing with a tooth since last Wednesday and got in to our local dentist on Friday. They set an appointment for a crown today but, after further thought, her dentist said she needed a root canal.

Only place available was in Portland, Maine 52 miles away.

What a way to spend July 3rd!

But it was worth it, this was the right call because her tooth was cracked and the bone was infected. Now Kate's a nut with tooth care - she flosses twice a day, uses a Water Pik twice a day an brushes three times a day with a manual brush and a Sonicare. I'm a lazy @$$ and floss like a few times a year but do brush every now and then.

Soupie made the trip as fun as it could be. And, most important, Kate's already feeling better and he says she'll be pain free now.

clearly this forum's parking advice is paying off

Sorry to hear about Kates tooth and hope she's doing better. Having a tooth ache/issues has to be one of the worst pains as it really affects your whole face and all those nerves.

I'm surprised you weren't wearing your N95 mask with Cheech riding like that. ??

Also that parking job isn't going to cut it around here! ?

Jeezaloo David. Did you park your truck AFTER those Martinis?

I hope Kate’s feeling better!

Sorry to hear this.
Yea, the kiddo was pretty torn up about it, but Roger was on a downhill slide for a while. He was a Vietnam vet that had been exposed to Agent Orange and suffered pretty badly later in life with a bunch of health problems. He was just done with it all and stopped eating and passed in his sleep.

Its one of those deals where she doesn't exactly miss her biological dad, although he's still around she can take him or leave him, but his parents (Her grandparents) are super nice folk and she got to spend a lot of time with them.

Drove it south until the low fuel light came on. Although we are loaded up for a week of camping, we opted for a night in a hotel to stay dry. Out for dinner now.

Went to the MVD last Thursday to renew my DL...and an amazing thing happened there! I barely got seated and my number was called...the clerk confirmed that my wait time was 17 seconds! o_O

Was I in the Twilight Zone instead of an MVD office?
