Proud moment time! So I'm out getting dinner for me and the wife, when a jacked up yeeyee Dodgepulls up alongside at the light. After they give me a nice compliment on the Ranger, they ask if I want to go. Some hesitation and coaxing later, we make a turn and our feet totally DID NOT go to the floor. But if they had, I'm just saying hypothetically, the Ranger totally smoked em! Hypothetically.

after a brief drive in Upper New York, we went to Burlington for lunch. I overcame my fear of Champ. Burlington's okay, as evidenced by another Ranger! =D

24 mpg, not too bad, I guess, for some 80+ mph driving in small mountains

total of 581 miles, just in time for today's oil change, which is free since it's Soupie's first!

It's easy, for many, to take our fallen heroes for granted. But I'm thankful, every day, that I can sit here in a nice house, sleep without fear, and even argue about dampers on this forum.

Their sacrifices led to the quality of life I have and allow me to even indulge in silliness about Ford Ranger mods.

It's a tremendous freedom that I enjoy and on the backs of all of our service members. I greatly appreciate them all and am humbled by their sacrifices and bravery.

Thank you all!

There's a similar wall in Arkansas. We made a point to stop there while we were looking for property last fall and yes it's VERY humbling. There are names all around the inside and outside of Veterans. Everyone needs to remember Freedom is never free!

I took the wife to chicken point, carousel and submarine rock off the Broken Arrow trail. The Ranger was made fun of by the Pink Jeep tour guy. He told the tourists that I should turn around while I still had a chance. Later when we went to submarine rock, all jaws dropped when I made it up to the approach. There were a bunch of souped up Jeeps and Tacos, and a Rivian up top already. When we got out to walk around, we were greeted with a bunch of thumbs up and was asked what my mods were. To see a bunch of Jeep and Taco guys gathered around commenting about us was comical. :turkey::LOL::beer: You can see the Pink Jeep guy in the 4th picture.

Backed it out of the garage for the first time since Oct. 2022, drove it to the Ford dealer to have them perform GSB21-7122 so Oasis and the radio head ESN's matched.

I had to take my daily driver to the body shop for corrosion warranty repairs (yup...it's a Jeep thing!) so the Ranger will have to fill in for a week or so until I get the Jeep back.

I took an early trip up to the lake to check on things at the cottage and drop off Mother’s Day gifts. I spotted a Ranger I’ve seen several times while passing through one of the towns along the way. It’s kind of tough to miss with its striking cyber orange paint and custom vinyl. I just had to stop and get a better look.

I was lucky enough to meet the owner and, of course, we chatted about our Rangers. I also noticed that she’s joined our forum so a warm welcome goes out to @CherBear. As you can see in the pic, it is spotless. That colour is amazing in person, especially on a bright sunny day - wow!

Then, I continued on my way and got held up in big city traffic as soon as I got to Toronto - four wrecked cars all facing different directions, reduced six lanes to two. :(
