My brother sent me this and it reminded me of some of you on here...no names...haha...
Turns out horses just like laughing at people. Not that we don't deserve it. :)

Picked up wheels and tires from the Tire Rack Distribution Center.

They're for my old YJ so nothing to add to the "what did you recieve for your Ranger thread.

Cooper Discoverer AT3s in 31x10.5r15. They were my first choice for my Ranger but were unavailable in 255/80 r17 at the time so I went with the Toyo OC AT3s. Figured I'd try them on the jeep.

Part 2.

Took wheels and tires out to my brother-in-laws and got 'em mounted up on the Jeep. It's coming along nicely. Gotta get the rear brakes adjusted, one is dragging a bit. But other than that it's almost ready. Need it ready for my truck going into the bodyshop in May and for my kid's first ride. She gets her license this summer.

It was a nice couple hours of cruising solo through the countryside. Very welcome on a Saturday morning.

The YJ as it sits.

Get after those brakes Doug - you don’t want to warp a rotor. ?

We will.

Although the drums on a YJ are a bit harder to warp than our rotors. More worried about popping a seal from the heat.

Getting this rig safe and reliable is key for this refresh since the kid will be driving it. We've done a bit of cosmetic repair, but mostly mechanicals.

In '95 they were still very utilitarian. Most complicated thing on it is the PCM, and I've got good knowledge of that from a previous repair. Super simple to work on and great for teaching my daughter about cars.

My youngest wants an early 60's GM truck or a hotrod slugbug for her first ride. My kids have pretty good taste.

I miss my old YJ. Was my first vehicle. Here is how it looked when it was sold.

Failed to get pics, but did some furniture moving today. 5 foot bed did rather well getting the stuff moved for my kiddo. Their Accord was never going to move any of it and I didn't have to roll the one ton across Houston to do it. Used half the fuel for the same work.
