What did you do to your Ranger today?

The hood lights are Rigid DSS pro, I highly recommend these for a wider beam. The throw is fairly far and super bright! Rigid also does a good job in the quality of the product. Great durable waterproof housing and thick cords and connector.

just my opinion but if using them as a "ditch" light to see whats to the sides where the headlights are not showing enough, i would go for the flood version. wider light pattern. If adding to get more light further to supplement the headlights do the driving beam.

Did a 60,000 mi service on mine today. Oil and filter, tire rotation, t-case fluid, transmission fluid filter and a new ppe standard capacity pan so it can be less messy the next time. Need to get gear oil for the differentials and then ill be all caught up on maintainence.
Also had to replace the parking brake cables in the rear as they had seized up and would cause the rear brakes to stick on.

Love that transmission cover, something on my wish list, along with that performance diff cover.

Looks really nice and the extra capacity must be great for the truck.

Looking for advice, I'm buying the rigid DSS pro ditch lights to be mounted on the hood(pillar mount) and can't decide between the driving beam or flood beam. My plan is to face the lights at a 45 degree angle facing the ditch. Has anyone used either beam??

My advice, buy something cheap for illuminating ditches and focus the bulk of your money on an area where it is more crucial, like forward lighting.

Second to that, a spot light is for distance. Are you trying to illuminate ditches at a distance? A flood beam is a spot beam at very close quarters, a really big one. I imagine the optimal beam for a ditch light (when used as intended) would be flood pattern, or at minimum a driving pattern which is generally a mix of flood/spot.

Bought my 2019 XLT Sport FX4 last Friday. Put in the Weathertechs and a console organizer from Amazon today.

Also received my Purple seat pad. I hope it fixes the sciatic nerve issues I have any time I’m in this truck longer than 10 minutes. Wrote about that issue in my intro thread.

Up next: Bilsteins all around, LineX bed, 255/75/17 tires. After that I’m trying to decide whether to get a topper or small mild off-road trailer for camping.

I installed my Eibach 2r rear shocks. It’s a night and day difference and I no longer feel like this going down the road

I made good use of my lunch break while working from home today. It involved...

• One ham sandwich
• Two Rice Krispy treats
• One can PB Blaster
• One 15mm wrench
• One BFH (Big F'n Hammer)

And this will help my tire clearance issue until my BDS Intrusion Beams arrive. ?

I just finished up installing my DrawTite Class 4 Trailer hitch receiver and the very pricey B&W 6" drop hitch. Glad I have a long handle cheater bar on my breaker bar. Breakaway torque was quite an effort on the 4 bolts. Glad the new torque wrench goes up to 250 ft lbs, even though the torque was 146 ft-lbs for the frame to hitch receiver bolts. I did not drop the spare tire...not necessary and my floor jack came in handy to lift the receiver into place. Going to stick to the 4 pin electrical as this will be used around the Flagstaff RV park helping the RV park owner. Will probably try to find the wiring sometime in the future on etrailer.com or Ford via Benny @LevittownFordParts.com.

Love the way B&W stows the three trailer balls out of harms way for your shins.

I can relate to this picture using a cheater bar to get the rear bumper bolts to break away for removal to mount the hitch receiver... At least I think this is a cute pix....

New Akkon headlights! ? Been scrimping and saving and exploiting various rewards rograms for a while now. Spent 3 hours yesterday morning before work ripping the front end off and installing.

Did not clean truck.

Replaced stock 18" wheels with 17" new OE takeoffs + 265/70/R17 Toyo ATIIIs (speedometer is accurate now...).

Now to figure out suspension upgrades... Icon leaf + ____ shocks in the back?? Don't particularly need a lift/would like to maintain some rake, but do regularly drive w/ ~300lbs in the bed (includes topper) + basically at payload when [dispersed/off-road] camping. Not daily driver.
