Hi @navsnipe

Planning to be ready when my Ranger arrives and thinking about this particular tonneau. Can you recommend it and/or care to offer your take on the pros/cons? How's it holding up to weather and use?

Many thanks!

It is holding up very well. Be careful when installing the weather strip at the front bulkhead of the bed. Do not stretch it as the tape will lift, lay it down with no tension.

When I have my mountain bike in the back I have the cover in the folded/propped up position which blocks the back window. I have seen some covers that roll up but the price is a bit steeper.

The installation is straightforward but I watched an install video as well to have things go smoothly.

Seems like one of the better upgrades to do for just over a couple of hundred bucks for the two shocks.
What I ended up doing was using the jack to raise and compress the shocks, as others had suggested. It was tricky getting it all lined up, but once I got the first one done the second one was pretty easy. I would definitely recommend this upgrade for the price. Well worth it to me.

I ordered the Ford Chrome "Ranger" Tailgate letters

I also ordered a subdued flag for the rear window from Amazon.

Also ordered a Chief Petty Officer insignia from Amazon to replace the USN Decal that came off after the first car wash.

I installed the Trac Electronics auto folding mirror / auto window module.

Works great! It arrived with a couple of wires on the harness swapped, but trac got me sorted quickly.

I removed the running boards on my brand new Ranger SCREW. They are one piece construction and readily removable once the body and chassis are de-mated. This requires the removal of 3 phillips head screws. The rear bumper is a separate piece and is intended to be reinstalled when re-mating the body and chassis. The running boards are not for sale as packing and shipping would be prohibitively expensive. BTW as you can see from the picture it's a manual transmission Lariat. Pardon the white stuff as there were snow flurries in Florida today.

Didn't do anything to Big Blue but did some things for it. First tax return back and ordered the rear Bilstein shocks and the Bedrug bed liner. Also ordered the new lower grille from Levittown to replace the one that got damaged in a minor altercation at an icy intersection this winter. Waiting for the Fed return to order my swing boxes and maybe a few other small things.

It's spring, that means Mod Season is here. :handsinair: :like::turkey::turkey:

Added free advertising for Roush. And an anime bunny and weeb culture sticker to my roush front plate. Don’t hate me I might have ruined the American truck look, but I like it aesthetically :(
On a previous day I plasti dipped the emblems and added a “carbon fiber” sticker decal over the ford emblem.
