I was just about to update. Trip is on, I'm taking over for Pat. I think it's too late to start a new thread but I can. Planning on leaving the eastern start around 10am this Friday.
Right now looking at 6ish rigs.
As much as I don't want to take over for Pat, if everyone else is still committed I should be able to take over the lead on this trip. I feel really bad for Pat ?
Sorry Pat, been pretty crazy with work. Will send over tonight. If I do make it, I have multiple loaner radios if we need, I personally run ham and gmrs.
I would not be too worried going past 7, I did my last Mojave trip with 15, but that's because a buddy didn't tell me he invited 4...
Hey Pat, having done Mojave road twice (fully west to east and a modified version east to west) in the past year, I just wanted to share a few observations.
1) just west of Kelso Cima Road is a long stretch of constant whoops. Not much to do except find your comfortable speed and maintain it...
I'm not on it, I'm pretty close friends with a bunch of local ranger guys so we usually do group chat or text to see who's interested and when, and then i post them up. I'll dig up a link later. I'll check out overland bound. I might be around thursday late to go to the Rigs and Beer... what...
yeah, they're open to join. Doing dispersed camping 23-25, base camp out of holcomb somewhere, then wheel during the day, chill at night. I usually post in 2019+ ranger club and 2019+ ranger owners. There are too many to post in all of them hah
I usually just post stuff up on the Facebook groups. camping/wheeling trip in Big Bear in 2 weekends is the next thing up, then a sierra trip in august (3rd weekend I think)
Yeah, it's half of this kit https://www.readylift.com/2-leveling-kit-ford-ranger-4wd-2019.html
Should work on the fox 2.0, might need to do custom bolts
Feeling out who wants to tag long on a wheeling/camping/fishing weekend! Meet in Bishop 11/12 on the 14th. Will have to keep an eye on potential storms
Likewise agree, not necessary to regear on 35s, especially with a tune. You definitely notice them but my truck is heavier than most and still moves well
Not for me but I was too lazy to remove skid to pull it off outright, which turns out to be a good thing since I'll be testing some different quick disconnect endlinks
