Just recently purchased a new 2023 ford ranger xlt tremor already got an error message check park aid? Plus the Aux switch’s box under the hood is not mounted is that normal?

They have gotten worse and worse about mounting that relay box from looking at yours. It has always been pretty shoddy with a lot of tape holding it in place though. No idea on the park aid error?

Thinking it’s a bad sensor and yeah that box not being mounted is sad and paying that much for a new truck and finding out they can’t make sure everything is mounted right is a bunch of crap

If the truck was recently washed, there may be ice on one of the parking sensors.

As for the relay box, it should be mounted. Not normal to just be hanging/sitting there.

That’s what I thought to it’s scheduled for the dealer to fix it and mount that box ain’t leaving til it’s fixed right

This is true. Your relay should not look like this. I also get that warning in colder weather, but since you need to get the relay looked at, you might as well ask while you're there.

My 2021 XLT Tremor aux box was taped up as well. I just removed tape and clipped it on it's mount. Took about 30 seconds.

I feel like mine bounces out on occasion.

It really is not a solid mounting solution - mine only clips in on one side.

I might just figure out how to use a self taping screw and mount that bigger so it doesn't come out again.

There are two clip/release points on my mount bracket. They are part of same mount and the fuse box slides vertically down. It isn't the most solid mount, but gravity keeps it in place once clipped in.

When I took delivery of my Tremor my box was hanging just like that too. I just took the tape off and clipped it into the thing that was there and done.

Hi Mark,

Unlikely budget cuts as the correct clips are still present. It is more likely that the line operator has too many things to do as the Ranger moves down the Assembly line. Not sure how it is processed but likely trim line. Operator tasks are changed from time to time and the Plant assembly engineers guessed wrong on operator time. Reason I say this is that there are several posts on this being taped and it was not on units built the same day, ie a relief operator as the real operator takes a bathroom break for example. Surprised a plant audit did not catch this one.
