I just installed a 2 inch level kit on my Tremor and upgraded my stock tires to some 285/70/R17 Toyos. Does anyone know if I also needed spacers?? I only cut some of the Crash arms for clearance so far..

Here’s a before and after.
also decided to remove the step bars and see how I feel about it :)
I tried removing the side steps but leaving the bar like your picture but my wife and young boys were having a hard time with it, I am not even lifted at all outside the Tremor stance ?

That said, looks good. Those toyo have grown on me a lot. Do you have an angled shot? Something like this angle? BTW, I have a 1" wheel spacer on stock tires and stance in case it helps you picture the spacer a bit.

Looks really good!!

Yeah you’ve got to remove that axle bolt to remove the headaches! A few posts on here stating that but hey….live and learn right!
Looks really good!

Can you show how much of the crash bars were removed?

It looks good! I would say if it bolted up and you can turn the wheel without any grinding then a wheel spacer is not needed.

I was in the same boat as you lol took some convincing but I got them off. and they approve haha my daughter likes having to hop to get on. And I can honestly say it looks a bit more aggressive without the steps. Here’s somewhat an angles shot so you can see better ??

Here is a picture of how it sat with new tires before modifying the crash bar and after. Also a piece of the crash bar that was Grinded off. Also took pictures how it sits by the Knuckle. This is only with a 2 Inch level kit.

I posted this to my build thread but I figured I would share it here too for any Tremor owners interested in these mods.

I tackled the 2" leveling kit from Ford Ranger Lifts and 1.5" Faction Fab wheel spacers this weekend. Also completely removed the crash bars while I was in there.

Wheel spacers were super easy to install. Crash bars were a pain to get out, but overall not too bad with a cutting wheel and pry bar. The leveling kit would've been straightforward if the passenger side inner CV joint didn't separate. We ended up having to completely remove the axle to take the boot off and reseat the CV. It was impossible to do on the truck because when the CV separated, it created a vacuum inside the boot. When we removed it you could actually hear the hiss of air. After that saga was over, the rest of the install went well. Took the driver side axle nut off and had no issues with that side. Now I just need to get an alignment and should be good to go.

Any questions just ask, I probably ran into every problem possible ?. Before and after pics are below.

That came out real nice!!!
Did you have to completely cut off the crash bars with the spacers? Or just decided to?

Thanks! Honestly, I don't know what the clearance would've been and I just wanted to avoid any future problems. I figured while I was in there I might as well remove them completely. Less hassle that way.

It’s kinda hard to tell what you did to the crash bar. But it looks like everything is good from a wheel offset perspective

Basically just trimmed it with a grinder so it’s thinner by the wheel. Also ended up putting the plastic cover of the crash arm back on so it wouldn’t look like I cut it lol but I will get a better picture for you without the plastic cover tomorrow when I’m able use my tools to remove the cover ?? Hope this helps some..

Makes sence! I basically did the same thing but without the spacers and it seems like it was enough clearance. And honestly I might look into these spacers because I really like the look of the tires sticking out more!! Thanks for sharing ??

No problem! I'm definitely happy with the look. Now your rig has me wanting to shove some 285's under there... that extra meat looks ?.
