Thanks for the input on this , like I said I'm almost outa 3/60 , and was going to get a 5/100 , anything after 100 k km is so dam expensive here in Canada, but power train is covered to 100k so only thing that bothers me is LED lights and tranny so I guess it's still a toss up. Thanks for everyone's input ?
If I remember right I think I added the optional light coverage.

I'm past the factory warranty period at 44K miles. However, I'm still getting the occasional letter from my dealer saying it's not too late to get the extended warranty. Is it possible to purchase it after the factory warranty has expired?

Might be a question for one of our sponsors Zach @Granger

After reading through a few of these threads i tried to buy an extended warranty. 2019 Lariat with 46,000….no joy from Ford…Guess they know what’s coming!
Unfortunately you're already over in years and mileage. You have to buy it before your 3/36 is up.

Well, I have never bought an extended warranty on any vehicle I've ever owned. Until I bought my new Ranger. I did let the finance manager dry rape me a little on it but I obviously rolled it into my payments. Even with the warranty I didn't blow my budget. I tend to drive my vehicles for as long as possible and the finance manager convinced me by mentioning how just about everything on these new cars is electronically computer controlled.
I guess I just feel better having the piece of mind. Usually I would pass but I want to be covered. Plus, it's my daily driver and I depend on it to get to work and handle all the stops I make. Hopefully everything works out, I'm 13,000 miles in and everything is fine so far. I got the wheel and tires warranty too. Call me a sucker but it makes me feel secure.
To each their own, I guess.

There are plenty of 3rd party companies who will take your money in exchange for a warranty. Just do your homework and take due diligence.
I personally don't think it's a bad idea if you plan on keeping your amazing new truck for awhile. I know I plan to.
I've never had a love affair with a machine like I do with this one. I just love it.

I feel like I did - wonder how I can confirm that. I'm seeing a variety of manufacturer's vehicles with failing LED headlight trim.

They should've send you a pdf of your warranty after you sign and paid for it. I bought mine through Flood Ford and it says in their email (with the pdf attachment) that any items that are UN-checked are included in your policy. If you have the policy number you could always call Ford to verify it too. For $50.00 it's well worth the price of adding it.

My '19 policy:

PremiumCARE $100 72 75000 07/24/2025 75000 1045

Options:
Enhanced Rental
Pick Up & Delivery
✔ Key Services Delete
Interior/Exterior Lighting Delete.
✔ First Day Rental Delete

Important Contract Notes: If you added First Day Rental, Interior Exterior Lighting, or Key Services you will see a box on the contract that says First Day Rental Delete, Interior Exterior Lighting Delete, and Key Services Delete. If the box is unchecked it means it was not deleted, and you have it.

They’re a bit pricey here in Canada Mike but that blend door and tranny issue (damn you Sid @Msfitoy ) made me pull the trigger on it.

Peace of mind and all that.

I will say that premium care from ford is the closest thing to bumper to bumper coverage (I claim these daily) and worth every penny.

I went back and forth on the warranty and waited until my 3 years were just about up.
Since I have a 2019 and the HVAC didn't fail during the 3 years I went ahead and got the warranty.
Are the Ranger's HVAC known to have issues? I just picked up my '19 Ranger last week and was underwhelmed at the "Max Ac" setting.

I got the 5yr 75K one when I first got the truck. The gas in oil thread got my radar up but I really wanted this truck and was willing to take the chance seeing what the competition was offering compared was junk. Now that tranny woes are a subject of the day I can rest easy for now. Let’s see how this all pans out.

The 2019's have a blend door issue. It warps and gets stuck usually causing a problem on the passenger side.
