Hey Mike and @DukeCanBuildit

I'm at 58,000 km and curious where you are looking and what kind of prices you are getting. I've never bought an extended warranty, but the transmission issue does have e somewhat interested. I think to make it worthwhile it has to be 150,00km full drive train though.
Moynes in lindsay quoted me around 2000$ for 5/100 premium care anything above 100k gets expensive really quick and if you get premium + is crazy

I only need to adjust mine twice a year and mine broke 2.5 years later. There goes that theory. lol ?
well snap. mine will likely go out next lol. I wonder if it can just stop working and be stuck in max ac mode! if some i would not even bother with fixing it

That'd be to easy. lol It seems every one breaks and blows hot air but at least there's an easy DIY fix. I did it on MP1 and it only takes about an hour. Then if you want to change it over (summer/winter) it's only a 10 minute job flipping the broken piece. Up is cold, down is warm, I used a screwdriver to push it into position.

In case you haven't seen it, here's a video on how to fix it.

Here's my post with some pictures of the broken part you need to flip.

I got the 8 year 54k warranty with LED coverage and zero deductible when I bought mine and was told if I sell the vehicle earlier contact them for a pro rated refund so it's not a total loss if dumped earlier. Definitely worth the peace of mind buying a pandemic built vehicle. Even one taillight will pay for it so well worth the cost.

They're really good about returning the pro rated difference. When MP1 got totaled I filled out the form and attached the documents they needed (in my case the loss sheet from the insurance) and I had my check within 2 weeks. As long as nothing major comes up I'm going to get on for MP2 but will probably wait until the spring.
